We have it at home, but I have been so busy fixing up the yard, I dont have time to get on in the evenings anymore. Brian decided to put in a garden pond in the corner of our flower bed and that was really cute!!!

I bet that looks awsome!! I would love to do something like that, but the houses out here have almost no yard, so it's difficult to do that. We are only renting now, but when I do buy my home it will have more than a porch for a yard!! And I WILL have a garden!!

It turned out really well. Even if I was rolling my eyes when he was talking about doing it. It has landscape rocks around the edge of it and a frog on a lily pad spitting water.
This is the 1st time I have ever care about doing a flower garden. But this is also the 1st house Ive ever had that had the space to do it. Im having a blast!

Good for you!! That's a good way to get your mind of things alittle too when you are stressed about the wedding.

Actually this IS for the wedding. We are having the reception in our front yard so thats why we are making it pretty NOW. What is really fun is watching Brian get stressed out over all the yard work he wants to do before May 13th. Thats his version of "wedding stress".

Ok, I am jealous now. Our yard is so short, that the driveway is too small to park a 'real' truck in. And the HOA will bark if it hangs over.

We actually live off base, and to be honest, base housing has bigger yards that off base houses do!!! Out here they like to build big houses on small lots, that way there is plenty of living space, but no yard. It isn't so bad because there are alot of parks in the neighborhood, one of which is across the street from us. It's just a bummer because the back yard is useless due to size, and the front is useless because it's rocks.

If you have any kind of ledge on your windows you can do window boxes, and hanging baskets are another way to have flowers when you dont have room for a flower bed.

I have thought about that too, but again, the HOA won't allow it. Our neighbor put a pretty bench in her yard, and they fined her. I guess I just have to wait to get our house.

Word to the wise, NEVER move into a neighborhood that is dictated by a Home Owners Assoc.

Just an idea, but you could do an "indoor" garden. You could put the plants on the window sill "inside" your house and HOA cant say much.

Well now I didn't think about that!! Thanks Cindy. I like that idea. I have been wanting to get some greenery in the house anyway.

I start to wonder what's happening when i haven't been on for a bit. That's very rare because i am home alone so much. But over some weekends we are so busy i won't have time until late monday or tuesday.
This board has definatly kept me entertained when i am bored. Or need a break from school work.

That's ok Cindy and Heather. While I'm not dealing with an HOA, I'm dealing with my terrible neighbors who like to decorate our lawn with beer cans and garbage. We live on the second and third floor, so we don't really have much of a say as far as the yard goes, which is too bad because I have all kinds of ideas in my head to make it beautiful!

As far as not getting on here...I hate not being able to get on here! With everything that has been going on lately, this is my only respite usually! I know that it doesn't take my mind off the wedding, but it's okay for me to talk about it here...and, with the exception of my FH (who is getting tired of it too) it's the only place I really have to talk about the wedding. Especially now with Mama sick, everyone acts like I'm some self-obsessed b*tch when I say anything about the wedding. So big thanks to everyone!

I go through withdrawl if I can't get on here!! Yesterday both my home PC and laptop had viruses (From msn messenger!! garrrrrr!!!!!!!!) and I had to turn them both off to save them from damage and wait until my DH got home to fixe 'em. (he's the techno wiz not me!! lol) Well it turns out my PC still has one and his laptop doesn't. So I scooped the laptop and HAD to use it!! Hey, I was missing out on my forums!! lol
