I don't mean to be critical, but i don't want you feel i am too harsh.. it just seems slightly busy... Does the vellum have some type of design on it?? I can't see too well in the pic?? that may be making me feel like it's busy.. i think if you changed your ribbon to black, it would also blend better... just my opinion.. sorry.. : (

I love the rose paper! It looks like the vellum paper may have a design on it. I would remove the design to make it look a little sharper, and change the ribbon to red or black. You did a great job. Good luck!!!

Amanda, I like it, because mine have a similar look. I printed the wording on vellum paper and attached it to stock paper with white ribbon much like yours. Since my wedding is a private, destination wedding, my invites are actually announcements. I folded them in half (top to bottom) before adding cool rub-ons that I picked up at Dollar Tree of all places.
Also, I made them with various colors of stock paper (one color per annoucement - cream, navy, and black), so with the color changes and rub-ons, many of them will be one-of-a-kind. :D
Close friends and family are getting the handmade ones. FH's family and friends (LOL) are getting the cheap store-bought ones.
You may find that your design will change from day to day. That's how I ended up with many unique announcements.

I have to agree with Lady Movements. I like the invite, but I also think that it is a little bit busy. I think if you used a plain vellum with the printing on it, the design would show better. I also like the black ribbon idea as well.

Could you use a heavier vellum that isn't so sheer? That might help with the "busy" look of it and you'd be able to read the wording better. I also like the black ribbon idea. You have a great concept, it just needs a little tweaking! :)

I don't really think that the picture does it justice. In person they are not hard to read like in the picture. I also used a thinner silver ribbon but for some reason I posted an original picture before I changed it. The thick silver ribbon is really distracting. The thing everyone is asking about is a silver stamp on the rose paper underneath the vellum. It is very hard to capture in a picture. I did have them just plain originally but it seemed too boring, so I added the love stamp.
Thanks for all the input. Hopefully I can put it to good use!!:)
