Well, we finally got to bring our new puppy home on Saturday! She is 7 weeks old and almost 11 pounds! (Twice the size of Summit at that age!)

She is just a doll though. So, please meet Dasie!

We're getting our fence next week, so that means we can finally adopt another dog. I can't wait!

Thanks! She is just a joy. If I could, I would have a whole bunch of dogs. I just love em!

I wish she could stay this size for a while, they just grow up to quick!

Awww! I just melt over puppies and doggies. I just want to pick her up and cuddle her! She's absolutely adorable.

Well, we have a beagle right now, and I've owned 3 of them in the past, so that's the direction we're leaning. However, in looking, we've found some beagle mixes that are just way too cute. There's a beagle/aussie we found that just stole my heart, but he'll probably be gone when we're ready to choose.

I'm just a sucker for beagles, though. It'll be hard for me to say yes to anything else. (Plus my beagle needs someone who can keep up with her!)

I wish you could take this beagle that lives in my neighborhood! It is so cute, and the owners are not giving him the life he deserves! He is tied up in the corner of there garage with a car parked in front of him for the most part. I never see them take him for a walk and he just barks. It is so sad!

A beagle is one of the last dogs you want to tie up in a garage! A hound will go NUTS!

I'd love to. I actually called animal control, and they said that it was fine cause they consider it "shelter". That just kills me. Oh, maybe just maybe a few times a week they "crack" the garage so he gets fresh air.

We're dying to get a puppy or two, but still can't find any rental places that will allow it :bbcry:

:bbeek: that is so not cool... what horrible people!! Yay, it has shelter, but what about anything else??? Like Tango said, beagles would go nuts locked up like that!!! Aww, that's so horrible!! Are there any other animal protection groups over there...? Here in Oz we have the RSPCA who would most likely step in in a situation like that and do something!

Summit is ok with her. She knows she lives in the house with us, but she isn't crazy about her yet. My parents dog was here this past weekend and was really protective over Dasie so Summit was shy around her. They do cuddle together. Summit has always been our "mellow yellow" so it isn't too much of a change for her, but Dasie is the DAREDEVIL. She is so spunky and not afraid of anything! :)

Ditto ... beagle puppy bellies are so cute!!!!!

Hmmmm I wonder how a beagle and retriever would get on? With the house, I think a doggy is on it's way.

Beagles are so social ... they do not like being alone. One of mine howled but the other barked.

Aww puppies, so so cute. My puppy is named Daisy! she is a papillon though so they don't look much alike. Actually between the 2 of us me and my fiance have 3 little dogs, they are our furry little family.

We just got her weighed tonight and she was 18.7 pounds! She is going to be a whopper!

We took the girls to Bark in the Park at our AAA baseball team, you could bring your dog to the game. There were about 100-150 dogs there! Summit and Dasie made the paper online! They made little videos of some of the dogs that were there and Dasie was the icon to click on, Summit was in the video as well, and there was a still shot of Dasie. We had a blast, my kids are local celebrities.:winktongue:
