I was eating some Ben & Jerry's.. (Mmmmm) earlier and the whole melty-drippy pint dropped into my lap. Well, I'm a klutz and that's just me.. Well, Elias was in my lap as well as the ice cream. Before I could get up and clean us both off, he was sucking on his ice cream spatterd hand. :bbeek:
He had the most devilish grin on his face. This look of sheer delight. Ice Cream!? :bbmrgreen:
He keeps sucking on his hand, thinking that the ice cream will be there, and then looking at me like "Why isn't it sweet and cherry flavored?" He was fussing for about an hour. :(
What is worse? My baby's first food was ice cream, or that I think that the poor dear is begining his first stages of ice cream addicion. That particular addiction runs in the family, sad to say.
Good thing Mama's Milk is sweet, right? :p

Dont feel bad Carrie. I think all of my kid's 1st foods were either ice cream or whipped cream - thanks to grandpa!

How sweet!!! I can just imagine his face, wondering why his hand no longers tastes all cherry and sweet!
My friend's little boy was an ice cream lover at an early age as well. He was on the table in his little seat and she opened the freezer and he got this giant grin on his face....I asked her what was up with that...she said that she made the mistake of giving him little tastes of strawberry ice cream and now he thinks everytime she opens the freezer, he's getting some ice cream....lol.

Well, Carlo and I agreed early on that we would go get ice cream on a weekly basis. We're raising him vegetarian and going to keep very good, healthy food in the house, but we want to treat him too.
I just remember that smile. That "Oh, my!!" look on his face. It was so cute.
Hmm.. Maybe I ought to give him tastes of ice cream when it's time to take pictures? :p

We're raising him vegetarian
Carrie, I want to ask you something! Brian has some friends that are raising their kids vegetarian and they've recently had their oldest decide she wants to eat meat. Well the mom is all for letting the kid eat what she wants as long as she doesnt bring meat in to their house. Letting it be her decision and not push it on her. Dad on the other hand says as long as she lives under their roof, she should follow their rule of NO meat. How would you and Carlo handle it if Elias decides he doesnt want to be a vegetrian? Im just curious!

Only if we're allowed to see him!
Carrie, that sounds so cute! I can't wait to see more pictures of the little guy, ice cream covered or not. :)
