Max and Andrea 8-16-08!

So our wedding is just about 20 days! I am so excited! I just found onewed recently and I know the wedding is soon but I thought I would start a journal anyway! Besides I am at work and bored out of my mind!

I am Andrea 27 and Max is 24. I know I am cradle robber. LOL... at least that is what everyone says! Of course they are just joking.

How we met:

It's not a very romantic story but it is pretty funny. :D My brother and Max work together. Anyway, my brother was throwing a party for one of his other friends that they work with. Well, Max came to that party and I thought he was cute when he walked in but I didn't think anything about it because he is one of my brothers friends! LOL... anyway we all started drinking and people just kept giving Max different drinks. And he hardly if ever drinks. Needless to say he got really really drunk and really really sick! My parents were at the party. Anyway, my mom ended up taking care of Max and he just kept saying how cute I was and all this stuff. So, after the party he kept coming around and hanging out with my brother but at the time I just was busy and wasn't around that much. (At the time I lived with my brother and my sister in law in a townhouse that we all rented) But finally we all went bowling and I had my friend go with us and I asked her what she thought about him and she thought he was cute and nice. So, he asked if I wanted to go snowboarding with him and I said sure. Now that is pretty funny because I don't snowboard and I don't do cold or sports. But I went with him and we had a great time. We were pretty much unseperable after that!

So, I knew I wanted to marry Max! I knew that we were perfect together. Anyway, we kept talking about it and we finally went to the mall to look at rings and I showed him what I liked. Well, we went to Hawaii in September and I thought he might do it then but he never did. I was a little disappointed but we had so much fun. Anyway, November comes around and he wants me to get our dating anniversary day off so that we can go snowboarding again. Now I thought he might ask me but then I was like that is to perdictable he wont do it then. So, we are snowboarding having a great time. Well, we are snowboarding he asks if I want him to take my picture and I say sure. So, he gets down on his knees and I hand him the camera and he gets the ring box out of his pocket and I think he said will you marry me but I can't remember. I was so in shock, I said what now are you kidding me? I jsut didn't believe that he was doing it then. It was so perfect! I said yes of course and then I was to excited to continue snowboarding! My ring is absoutly perfect. It was excatly the one that I had wanted!

I guess he had gotten it sometime in September. And then a few days before we went snowboarding he asked my dads permission. Isn't that so sweet? My mom said my dad had tears in his eyes. My whole family loves him so much. I am so lucky! I will post some pictures when I get home from work.

We started planning pretty soon after we got engaged. We had decided between June and August. Max picked the date 08-16-08. He liked the way that date looked and he said that it was easy to remember.

I really wanted to have an outdoor wedding but couldn't find the perfect location. So, we decided to get married at the same church that my brother and sister in law got married in. http://www.brookshill.com It is an adorable little church. I love the church but it only holds 100 people comfortably over that it gets cozy. :-) So, what we decided to do was invite people that we work with just to the reception. We really want them to be there to celebrate with us and the church just want allow for our entire guest list. Everyone understands and are happy to come to the reception and celebrate! The owner of the church said we could do up to 130. I am hoping for like 115. And then at our reception we will be about 150-160. Still waiting for the final RSVPs to come in!

We had a hard time picking out colors. I really wanted to use a dark shade of pink because pink is like my color. LOL... but wasn't sure what to put with it. We decided on champagne, dark pink and sage green. I wasn't sure of the color combination but now that everything is coming together I love it!

I really wanted a maggie dress. I just loved those so much! I tried a few on at the dress shop but then the girl brought in a casablanca dress. She is like you might not like it on the rack but is beautiful when you put it on. Sure enough I fell in love with it. My mom cried which I figured was a good sign! My sister in law liked it too.

I don't think I would have ever tried on this dress if I had seen it on the model. I love it though. It just sparkles. :-) I hope Max likes it. He is more into simple and sleek but I just loved this dress. I just hope it is not really hot on the day of the wedding!

I am having two MOH's. My friend since I was 12 and my sister in law. I really didn't want to choose between them so I decided to let them share the title. And Max did the same thing. Him and my brother are best friends so he is a BM and then he has another really good friend so he is also a BM.

In the champagne color with the ivory. It is so pretty! I love the way it looks. I am really happy with this dress. And then they will carry dark pink/medium pink bouquet of roses!
