Well hello all, I thought I would start my wedding journal tonight. My name is Naomi I am 22 and live in Australia on August 18th 2007 (which falls on our 5 year anniversary) I will marry my best friend his name is Jeff he is 27 we have been together for nearly 4 years and it has been the best time of my life.

I am only in the early stages of organising my wedding but I would love to come on here and share details and ideas with you all.

I look forward to getting to know you ladies better and if you have any questions about my plans or idea's for me feel free to ask.

I will be back in a few days to share the story of how we meet and got engaged and tell you what I have got planned already :D .

Well now all my visitors have gone it's about time I got my butt into gear with my journal :) .

It all started on a cold winters night..... haha ok I'll get over that deep start although it was a cold night on the 1st of June 2002, we met at a nightclub when Jeff and a friend invited themselves to our table my friend went to dance with Jeff's friend and left us standing there so then we decided to have a dance too, we spent the rest of the night in the club together talking,dancing and he even brought me a rose so at about 7am we jumped in a cab exchanged numbers and went our seperate ways. He called me a couple of days later to ask me on a date I said yes and pretty much since then we have been inseperable. He said he knew I was "the one" as soon as he met me. Oh we didn't officially start being partners untill August 18(our future wedding date), we got to know each other a little better first.

Ok here goes again just a short version now!!!
It started one Wednesday when Jeff said we had to go away the next day cause his pop was having an operation. When we got to our destination (Goldcoast Australia about 1500km away) he told me that his pop was only having a minor operation on his eyes nothing to worry about and that he just wanted to suprise me with a holiday. Jeff had booked us into a beautiful motel where we just chilled out on the first night, the next day we did the usual tourist things and he told me I had to be dressed and ready to go at about 5pm he then took me to a lovely restraunt on the river and then to the stage production of Dirty Dancing (one of my fav movies) after that we went for a little drive but it was raining heavy and I was getting a bit scared of driving around in it, I later found out he was planning on taking me to a look out and asking me there but I guess I kind of ruined that lol oops.
So the next night we went out to dinner again to another beautiful restraunt (a revolving one) and we had a lovely night towards the end of it he ordered me a cocktail and when they brought it out it had "MARRY ME" writen on the top of it ( I will post a pic when I work out how to get it on here from my phone) he got down on one knee and asked and of course I said YES.

First I'd like to say how cool it is that you're from Australia. It's like how does a person from Australia go on vacation when their whole lives it's like they are already in paradise. Why would anybody ever want to leave Australia? Anyway, sorry, Naomi, I digress. I would also like to say how lucky you are to have such a romantic FH. He seems to be a real keeper!! I can't wait to see the pictures! By the way, Dirty Dancing is also one of me and Amber's favorite movies.

Thanks Karen I am really lucky to have him!! He treats me like a princess we have been together nearly 4 years and he has never even raised his voice at me :). Australia is great I am not very fussed on ever leaving these shores not even for a holiday there is so many beautiful places to see here.

Australia really is beautiful! I live on the East Coast towards to top.

So at the moment Jeff is working out of town about (1500km away) and will be untill about August and only coming home on weekends, so we have found it hard to sit and start organising anything and it hasn't helped that for the past 5 weekends one of us have been away or we have had visitors that's not going to change for another 2 weekends, so on sunday night after our visitors left we got the chance to sit and have a bit of a chat anyway the first thing we had to get going was our engagement party which we have planned for August 12th this year, the reason it is so delayed is because we will be having that in my home town about 800km away so we wanted to plan it for our next trip down there, we have a list of about 100 people to invite which I think is a good number for us! My SIL is going to do our invitations for it she is great with stuff like that, so I can't wait to see what they will look like.

Now onto actual wedding plans, we are currently waiting on hearing back from the golf club so we can get a rough idea about prices but since it won't be finished being built untill July we are in a bit of a bad situation, I mean chances are we will go with the golf club but I really need to do something about booking somewhere sooner rather then later because we are running out of options:bbmad:.

Sounds like your engagement party will be really nice. A trip home to visit with all your friends and family and celebrate you and your FH.
We're having our reception at a Golf Club also. I'm sure your's will be really beautiful! That's really neat that its going to be so new. I really hope they can get the prices to you soon. Makes planning a bit easier. Have you booked a date with them yet? Or are you guys still looking arround?

Well in some chinese languages it means eternity (the reason I use) I have it tattoo'd just below my neck, me and and my 3 best friends got it when we were on holiay years ago. In other chinese languages it means water, which is ok with me also because I looooove the water ;).

I thought I had better come on here and give a little update on what's going on, I will start with the engagement party.

It was a great night, we had about 70 people there (a good number) although we did have a couple of drama's like the power board blowing :bbeek: lol we were without power for about 45mins lucky we had candles out already, so that will always be remembered. The night went so fast I can only imagine what the wedding is going to be like!! We didn't get alot of pics but i will post some of the ones we did take.

Well it's been ages since I have been into my journal, I guess because I haven't been doing much planning lately I am too busy looking after the pups and getting ready for christmas!!! (not that I am complaining).

I do have a couple of wedding things that have changed first of all I am 80% sure I am going to change photographers, the lady I have booked is great and takes beautiful pics but........I have found another guy that I am soooo in love with his work he's style is very trendy but he will be travelling 7 hours to come shoot or wedding so before I commited to him I have decided to fly to him and meet with him :). So I will let you all know how that comes about after chrissy.

When I am away at chrissy I am planning on going to chinatown and looking out for parasoles and hand fans as I am planning on incorperating them into our wedding. I thought it would be cute to add a little chinese touch, Jeff is half chinese.

Ok was planning of writting more but it's 2am and I am struggling to keep my head up so I must be off.

So I am back from my trip over christmas/new years but I didn't get as much done as I wanted to!!! I did meet with the photographer and viewded his work which was soooo good his albums are devine!! and he even took some pics of us on the day so I will have to post them when I get them.

OK so I finally got 2 numbers for videographers and they are both sending me info pack with samples of their work!! Although the one I am already leaning towards has a "tentative booking" and the other guy is about $1800!!!!

Well ladies I went away for my birthday weekend without a videographer and DJ and came back with both of them!! the ones I originally wanted to!! I am sooo Happy to be able to cross that off the list!!!

My mum and sister are coming up sometime this month and we are going fabric shopping It's starting to sink in that I am really getting married now!!

Hi ladies, sorry I haven't been on much lately.. but I thought I would do a quick update ......

So I have had a pretty productive past couple of weeks, my mum and SIL come up for a week and we brought the material for my dress YAY I am happy that I found my lace for $200m because where I originally found it was $300m and considering I need 9m that's a HUGE saving!!! also got the flowergirl and some of the BM material.

We also played with centerpiece idea's and come up with the following with a fish to go in it ( all fish will be homed afterwards).

What we did to make the centrepieces was..... put some rocks at the bottom of the vase and put the silk flowers in the rocks held them down the put the water in, we also tried a floating candle but the heat cracked the vase!! :bbconfused:. On the day we will be putting a siamese fighing fish in each one :).
