Hello, I'm hoping someone can help me out with this. I bought two different types of candy molds. One is larger and I can use this for the chocolate, but the other mold is very small and I thought it would be perfect for making a mint candy, only I don't know anything about making mints. Any clues, websites, instructions, would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Aleta

Look on cooks.com I know they have a few receipes for wedding mints. I'm not sure if these are the type you are looking for, but it's worth a shot! Run a search (on home page) using "wedding mints". Good Luck!

Thank you!! Looks like I'm going to be testing out some recipes! :D
The easiest way to make mints is with cream cheese, powdered sugar, flavoring, and coloring. Add the flavoring and coloring to the cream cheese and mix with mixer. You add the powdered sugar to the cream cheese until it is VERY thick. I even mix some in by hand....you want it very thick. Then using granulated sugar to "grease" your molds, mold your mints. As you make them, put them on a cookie sheet. They will dry...and last a good long time. We always do this ahead of time and then freeze them. They are totally delicious...and easy!!

Ger is right- the recipes I recall for wedding mints on cooks.com were a mixture such as she described. Let us know how they work out!
Also, let me know if you need any more help. I think I explained it step by step...but I might have forgotten something.

I have to admit to being a little surprised that the recipes call for cream cheese. I never would have thought to use that. Thanks a bunch for all the responses. I'll probably give it a try beginning of August and will have Greg "close his eyes" and let give a taste test. hehe
