Yep! He has to go for work and doesn't want me left home alone so he cashed in frequent flyer miles and I'm going. I just have to get my research paper finished and graded and find someone to sit with the cats.

I can hardly wait we are going Aug 11. When I lived in San Clemente the most fun was to go to In & Out and order a big fry and a big chocolate shake to dip them in. YUM!:whoohoo: Another place I loved was Marie Calendars. Chicken salad with grapes and almonds. I'm getting hungry just typing it.

I've got lots of pictures but really slow connection. I'm going to try and load some tonight when mr computer genius is off work.

So far I've seen SEAL boats dropping off divers, a America's Cup racing yacht, last night we went to Old Town San Diego. I've gotten sun burned on my stomach laying at the pool DUH, spent lots of time walking by the water while RC is at work.

I found this on the internet some time ago. I loved it...it reminds me of my parents and I hope someday my children will see their father and me in these words:

The Beauty of Love:
The question is asked, "Is there anything more
beautiful in life than a young couple clasping hands
and pure hearts in the path of marriage? Can there be
anything more beautiful than young love?"
And the answer is given. "Yes, there is a more
beautiful thing. It is the spectacle of an old man and an
old woman finishing their journey together on that path.
Their hands are gnarled, but still clasped; their faces are
seamed, but still radiant; their hearts are physically
bowed and tired, but still strong with love and devotion for
one another. Yes, there is a more beautiful thing than
young love. Old love."
