My fiance's parents have a trailer on a lake, which they typically go to quite a bit on weekends and during vacations over the summer. My fiance and I made our first trip there on Saturday. He's had to work every Saturday and he did then too, so we just stayed the night and all day Sunday. Anyway, for Christmas of 2006, his parents bought 2 jet skiis as a family present.

We went to the lake a few times last summer and I was really scared at the thought of going on one and never did. (I can't swim at all.)

Then yesterday, I decided I'd give it a try, just to be able to say I'd tried it. I went with my fiance, was terrified, then tried out driving it with him on the back... then by myself and I LOVED it.

For someone who's usually such a chicken, this was an enormous feat for me, especially after saying I'd never go on one, let alone drive one. I was incredibly proud of myself and can't wait to go back this weekend to try it out again. I wish I had pictures for proof, but we didn't quite get to that... so hopefully we will this weekend.

I just had to share my story of bravery, haha. Anyone else have any stories of bravery (or about jet skiis)?

thats awesome! I was scared at first when we got our jetskis but you get use to it and that is from someone who can swim.

We took the jetskis out this weekend when we went camping. It was fun until jacob splashed me with a while bunch of water.

glad u had a great time

Thats awesome! congrats on conquering your fears....I'm a pretty strong swimmer but don't always like watercraft, or those pull behind innertubes, b/c I have an overactive imagination and always think about what might happen and it takes the fun out of it for me:( But if you can do it I might have to try giving it a shot next time we're out at the river:)

Yes! Get us some pictures of you and your brave self:grinhappy:

That is great that you feel more comfortable in them! That is a great fear to accomplish!!! They are a lot of fun if you have the right driver for your first couple of times.

I have been a wimmer all my life. A life gueard for 10 years and I teach lessons, and I still get a little nervous on water crafts!
