Door County

I know there's a few people from Wisconsin here... have any of you (or any non Wisconsin residents) ever heard of Door County?

I have a friend from Wisconsin who says it's her favorite place to go (and she's been to California, Germany, and I'm not sure where else). Then they were saying on this news show that it was a very pretty area with lots to do that many people don't know about..... so I kind of started considering going there for our honeymoon 'cause it's kind of close and we've never been there.

I looked it up online and it does look pretty, and there's lots of cute bed and breakfasts there. Plus they've got a romance package to look into with horse drawn carriages and stuff like that. Does this seem like a good honeymoon place?

I am from Wisconsin and I loooooooove door county. I was actually going to go there for my mini honeymoon. FH starts school 3 days after our wedding so we cant go too far.

There is a lot to do and beautiful place to stay and see. I would recommend it. :D

I am from WI, and my FH and I actually got engaged in Door County...there is a lot to do there, and it's a different atmosphere than your typical honeymoon type place. More bed and breakfasts than resorts, lots of small towns but definitely plenty of things to do. I would definitely recommend it!! We are thinking about taking a honeymoon a little be later after our wedding, and are thinking about going to Door County for a few days after our wedding, and we only live a couple of hours away!! It's awesome!
