Ok. I guess I should start with how we met... That was back in December, 2006. At that point in time I was convinced that there was nobody out there for me and I'd have to accept the fact that I was going to end up as an old cat lady. One night I went out with my sister & girlfriend to check out some clubs. After hopping to 4 different places and not finding anything fun we decided to hop on the subway and head back home. My sister & I were walking down the block and as we neared my apartment building I saw a truck with a guy sitting in the driver's seat. He said to his friend, who was standing outside, next to the truck, "Hey. Get that girl!". Immediately I was like, "No. I am not going to waste my time". His friend kept saying, "Excuse me, Miss. My friend wants to talk to you". My sister and I kept walking. We passed their vehicle and walked up the stairs to my apartment door. His friend kept trying to get my attention and I kept ignoring him. I was putting my key in the door to go inside when a voice inside my head told me that I might as well talk to him, since my phone wasn't exactly ringing off the hook. If nothing else, it'll be a free dinner. I put my keys away and walked back down the stairs. My sister was surprised - she knows I'm very picky about guys. I spoke to him, he introduced himself, and we talked for a couple of minutes. He took my number and said he'd call. Of course, I didn't expect him to ever call me, so I was surprised when he did call a couple of days later. When we finally had our first phone conversation I was pleasantly surprised. We had a great conversation he seemed to be a decent guy. We had our first date a couple of weeks later and have been together ever since.
