ok. been married for five days. i feel.....i dunno...a little empty. i know that getting married and being done with the planning is supposed to be kind of fulfilling. i dont feel like im done. i feel like...there should be more? weird. im not unhappy that we are married, that makes me a little giddy actually. but i dunno. well we are moving in a month so maybe that will help me feel more...like i have a goal i guess. but im still kind of worried that when that is done, ill feel the same way. i dont get why i feel like this. it kinda bothers me. i want to feel like "ah! im done! now lets enjoy being married!" but for some reason....i dont. grrrr. stupid me. geez.

I bet after all that planning there's just a new space of time to fill now! Wedding planning is practically a hobby, one that disappears once the wedding is over. Makes sense, I don't think it's so weird. Maybe you 2 can start a new hobby together :)

hmmmm new hobby..thats a good idea!...i wonder what i could get him to do! i tried getting him to walk with me but that was a no. (he asked what the point of it was if we werent actually going anywhere), hmmm....ill have to dig his brain to see what i can get out of him! thanks for the idea!

Have you sent out your Thank You Cards yet? That took me a good month after the wedding to get them all done.

Our time now is used up cleaning/organizing/decorating the house, reading, working out and watching movies.

Maybe ya'll should go on a good old-fashioned date :)

I could totally understand how you would feel like.."Now what?" After I started wedding planning..its unleashed a whole different crafty side of me. If I'm not working, doing schoolwork or doing wedding stuff..I'm sleeping. I know I want to make a nice scrapbook of our wedding afterwards.

no thank you cards yet because i want to make picture ones and im trying to decide if i should DIY or get them from vista print.....
yeah we actually went on a nice little date yesterday! it was great. we didnt have to worry about spending a little extra on food because "it SHOULD go to wedding stuff" !! i think i just need to clean up the wedding stuff and start packing. i think im just overthinking as usual. dh says im a natural at that!

I think that starting a hobby together or doing a wedding scrapbook are both great possibilities in this transitional time. After you move then you can get engrossed in decorating your home!

ok so i think we found something we can do together, its not really a hobby for both of us but it was REALLY nice US time. last night i was doing the dishes and turned on some music. he sat in his chair and played video games on silent. it was really nice because we have the same taste in music so we had that to talk about. i think we could make a habit of it. just a nice little hour or so a day just us talking and chillin out. he doesnt do scrapbooking but i could do that during our hour too and get suggestions from him about what he would like in it. good idea ladies!!!

ok so this was originally going to be my married life journal so i guess i need to do a post about us...married!!
so the wedding was awesome....really short but awesome. i honestly dont remember most of the ceremony. i just remember seeing his face. and thats the best memory i could have i think. i do remember that the sand was a PITA to pour!! and now i cant find it! i know somebody packed it up, along with my flower petals and tulle but now i cant find any of the ceremony stuff! pew decorations included! GRRRR! oh well....ok i just realized i need to start getting ready for work so ill just write more later!

so i found out where most of my stuff is. my moh and my bil took it home. i felt much better knowing that! im hoping BIL has the sand cuz leah, my MOH does not. so cross your fingers. joe says we should just get a better bottle and since we have extra sand, we should just do it again so itll look pretty. i said its not the same! ill know it wasnt done on our wedding day! to which he replied...only for a week or two. you have to know, i am the most forgetful person in the world!!! i will have a convo with him and an hour or two later, completely forget about it. i often ask the same question multiple times...
so while its true....still kind of sad...



anyway more about being married, right?
ok the honeymoon...
we left that night and went to walmart to get some gas and something else that i dont remember now...funny...i sat in the truck while he went in to do whatever. unfortunately i was not smart enough at the end of the night to change out of my dress. so im sitting there itching and barely breathing....and i cant stand it anymore and crawl into the back of the truck (all eyes on me) digging through my luggage for something to change into. find something and pick up my dress (all 20 lbs that are hanging from my hips) and take a stroll into walmart (even more eyes on me) and change in the ladies room. by the time i was dressed joe was in the checkout line. i approached him and the cashier said "whew girl, i thought you was a runaway bride!" :rofl: it was really cute..
so we find a hotel about 45 minutes away from where the reception was and open presents, just us. wake up and take back anything we didnt want (kinda tacky?eh..) and got a little more gas money and go to breakfast and whoosh, we are on our way to corpus.

we get there and are so enthralled with this huge bridge that we missed all of the hotels on this litle strip of beach. so we get to just about the other side of corpus and settle with a days inn. the guy was rude and nothing worked in our room. so we called to let them know and set out for the aquarium. (fun time!)

we get back and the same thing. and while at the aquarium we noticed all the aforementioned hotels. so since the others were cheaper and in a better location AND they had done nothing for our room, we decided to get our money back and go to the other hotel. unfortunately the weekend prohibitted our money from being put right back in. so we check into the new hotel (about twenty dollars cheaper)

ok so anyhoo, we set out again, on foot this time (much to my delight) and eat at a place called Dotz Draftz and Dawgs, yum! and there joe got a *little* taste of revenge...

ummm....oh yeah..so then we head off to the uss lexington museum. little did we know we would be there for almost 5 hours! it was fun until i started getting sick! but good husband that he is..he sat out in the rest area with me and loved me a little bit. :)

i want to keep updating my married journal...but geez!! not a whole lot to say....OH! so we're moving in like 20 some odd days but yesterday joe heard over the police scanner at his job that someone was stabbed at that apartment complex! :bbeek: i really hope it was just one of those situations that happens out of the blue and not foreshadowing for what our life there will be like on a regular basis!! i might just wanna move back where i am now if thats the case! but im good friends with the apartment manager so ill let it calm down over there and then give her a call to see whats up. yeah im kinda nosey too...:bbredface:

well i found out nobody actually got stabbed. the apartment owners sister had a seizure and collapsed and busted her face. so while that is by no means a good thing, (although she is doing much better now!) i feel better about moving there!
in other news, joe and i are completely addicted to so you think you can dance and next thursday is the FINALE!! how sad!! we look forward to it every summer! although now we are also addicted to secret life of an american teenager. its so great to have something to look forward to (short term of course) together that has no stress involved and its just fun. and we always talk about it afterwards.
um...i think thats about it...oh well we are really getting excited about moving...even though its gonna be expensive! we actually have to pay for cable now! ugh! with the apartment we are in right now it comes free! but oh well time to grow up i guess.:snide: and since cable has gotten more expensive we are thinking about just getting satellite!! woo hoo!!

i was looking at rings today because at some point we each want to get replacements for our current rings and i found one that i fell in LOVE with and was joking and said ok joe i found the one you can get me!! and showed him. he just said, consider it done! and i laughed but he said he was serious! wow...its like 250 more than our original budget we were going to spend on our new rings...so we will see what happens with that...here it is in case you were wondering...

That is sooo cool looking! I think the only way you will know is when you try it on. Also, you will eventually get used to a different setting. If you are concerned about it falling out, I would get it check at least 2 times a year, just to make sure the prongs are secure.

ok so continuing on the ring thing, i have definately decided i want to try it on. (trip to kays anyone??) and i asked joe what he wanted as far as a ring goes - i think we are both thinking christmas so i wanna start saving up- and yanno i tried to look within our budget because well i know we are on the lower end as far as money goes and i was completely joking when i showed him the previous ring...well when i ask him what he wants...titanium band with diamonds going all the way around. nothin else...um...ok...:bbeek: who set the budget at 200-250?? oh yeah...that was YOU...and you expect me to fork out 800+ on a titanium band with diamonds going all the way around?? which is practically impossible to find! and yanno i could understand if we were waiting a year since we have so many bills but dang...christmas? and not only that but why can you go over budget but i shouldnt??? um not fair....? so im gonna look at whatever i REALLY want and tell him THAT! and see how he likes it! yeah i know its kinda childish but...oh well!! official end of rant

the duckies are cute but 1) they are fading very badly since i had them for six years. 2) i think since ive had them so long it makes me feel really young so i want something more "grown up" and more 21 me than 16 me. if that makes any sense.
school starts on the 25th (27th for the procrastinators - thats us)
joe owes 356 for last semester and then half of however much it will be for this semester. we are thinking probably around 150 at the least.
we owe the girl we are buying our truck from 250.
we owe about half of our rent on friday which is 250.
joe has about 320 right now and i have 140.
i have 15 hours this week and SIX next week???
how the HE!L are we going to get this together in time? especially the school! i dont have to go this semester because the class i need to take is full so ill just go in the spring. so that takes away a little bit, but geez louize...what do we do????
