Its been 3 weeks and this rental car sucks!

I've called Allstate 30 million times ( ok not that much) and they keep switching claim adjusters on me. I mean EVERY TIME I call its like you have a new person this and that. They aren't even accepting liability right now! He got the ticket for improper lane change!!

I filed a claim with my insurance and they are taking their sweet *** time! No one returns my calls and I dunno what to do. :irked::irked:

I think they are waiting for the trial which is next Monday!

My car hasn't been fixed and has been sitting in the shop. They haven't even touched it!

Sorry to hear you still haven't gotten your car fixed. If the issue is going to trial then it sounds like it hasn't been settled; I doubt anything will be done until it is settled.

:goodluck:

well I am not sure because the day of the accident the officer gave me this paper and told me to go to court. My boss says if the guy pays his ticket then I don't have to go. I put it on my calender to call them Friday and check to see if I need to.

It just sucks to drive an SUV around especially with gas prices going up everyday!

Bump for update :)

A little update guys http://g35driver.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif

I filed a claim with my insurance company (Geico) since Allstate is taking to long. They said they are going to take care of it and I pay the deductible and when allstate pays them I get the deductible back.

Now with the car I called Nally Collision (infiniti recommended dealer) they said the car does not look totaled. Once they heard from Geico then they are going to work on the final estimate, she said it doesnt look totaled but you never know with frame damage. Once they get the final estimate they will let me and in the insurance people know and then they have to send out another adjuster and once Gieco says ok then they will work on my car.

I even got the situation with my rental car good now. Allstate was only going to pay $18 for my car rental per day which is BS because my rental car is $24.50 per day meaning I would have to pay the difference. But my insurance said they will take care of it and have Allstate pay for that too http://g35driver.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif

Now we are just playing the waiting game.

Also the court date for the ticket is this Monday coming up.

I want my car back too LOL. FH too it Tues. night to take to the shop to get it looked at for a front wheel sensor. Well in half a day they got booked and couldn't even look at it until today. So I have been driving his truck and he has my car. Hopefully they get it looked at today and find out if they need to order any parts for it.

Glad to hear you are getting things worked out.

On a side note, FH does not clean the inside of his truck very often. It was so filthy inside I ended up spending 2.5 hours cleaning it, including shampooing the carpets!

thanks yall :)

spuls5,

I hope you get your car back too :)

What kind of a car is it? Is the tire pressure light coming on? I had that problem with my BMW and it was because when I got new tires that forgot to "hook it up" not sure the term.

Good luck though

FH is a mechanic and last week he changed the oil and rotated the tires. In the process we found one low, which it was on the back until he rotated it to the front. We found it had a slow leak in it because of a nail or piece of metal stuck in it. A few weeks ago I had to have him put air in it, but we didn't know there was something stuck in it at that time. So I had to get it fixed because now it was on the front.

Then on Wed. last week the light and message came on to service the ABS Traction control system. FH said it may be water in the sensor because we drove in a downpour. Came to work and after it never came back on. They have a computer at the shop so he hooked it up and there was a code in the computer for a front wheel sensor. Also when he was changing oil he noticed a small power steering leak. Since it is all still under warranty he said to take it in and have them fix it as a freebie. It's a 2005 Grand Prix.

New update:

After I file a claim with my insurance company for my car damages, Allstate calls my attorney up the next day and tells her that they accept liability haha.

Too bad soo sad, I cant deal with allstate anymore.

Anyways they are taking the car apart now for a more in depth estimate.

Original Estimate was for $4,900 lets see how high it is going to go now.

They "thought" the wheel was going to be repairable but it isn't so guess what? they have to order a new one and it wont be in until Monday, they also need to replace some kind of plate in the door which wont be here until Monday either :(

I'm never going to get my car back!
