What is everyone's theme? What are some of your favorite things you have done with your theme? What are your colors?
We are doing a luau theme wedding. We wanted something that we could just have fun with because we are both so shy and are dreading the whole attention thing. So we picked something where we could just be comfortable and casual with. Our colors are all bright and tropical.
My favorite thing that we have done so far is: I found these brown cardboard boxes that are in the shape of sandals and bought little jems to glue onto the thong part of the sandal. Inside the boxes we are putting some chocolates from a local 50 style candy shop that makes all of the chocolates daily.

I just got married on May 2, 2004...and we had a very simple beach "themed" wedding. It wasn't really themed on purpose, once you choose a beach as your setting, everything else just kind of falls into place.
However, we are having a renewal in 09 - I know, I know, 09? - and MY theme is shabby - rustic - country - but polished....lots of ivory, muslin, burnished gold and tarnished silver, cider and doughnut minis served on platters. I have no idea what my husband wants....but I but I bet it's totally different!

we had a fall themed wedding, with leaves everywhere and rich colors. I always wanted a summer wedding, until I started planning. I am so glad we had an October wedding.

I am going with a garden theme. Not really a theme, more like a direction for me to start! I'm a huge butterfly fan so I hope to use some with the design. Lots of beautiful flowers like peonies and sweat peas, ivy and babys breath, real natural stuff. My colors are our birthstone colors, pastel green and baby blue (August and December.) So the colors have more of a cool feeling. I can tie the green into the garden theme very easily... lots of plants!

We aren't having a theme for our wedding. I just have the same colors of pink and white running through.

I'm with Lacey, we're not having a theme either. We are using periwinkle and silver colors throughout. Good Luck!

I'm trying to have a fairy tale themed wedding. I'm one of those little girls that dreamed about her wedding since she was little so it fits well with my personality. I love purple as you can see so the colors are going to be purple and white. My friend who is making my inivitaions and programs is doing a "Once Upon A Time" story as part of the cards. I'm thinking of doing the table numbers as fairy tale related in some way, I want to wear a tiara on the day, etc The wedding is still a bit away so I'm still conjuring up ideas but any sugggestions are always welcome!

My FH and I, when we first started to plan came up with words that we wanted to describe our wedding, and then we went from there, planning things that centred around those words. Our major word is WHIMSICAL, so that is our major theme. We are doing hand panted candle holders as gifts for the wedding (i got an awesome price from a major card company), my dress has these flowers that look sort of romantic and free flowing, my tiara has a similar pattern. At my shower, which is in two weeks, we are giving away hand painted flower pots. My colours are white and pink. Everything is very soft and pretty and unique. The word itself is a word I love, and so the wedding itself is very mucha reflection of who I am and what my fiance loves about me. Our wedding is pretty traditional but not stuffy, and it is exactly what I want ( when I am not strssing and wondering why we didn't just elope :P ).
I love hearing about everyone else's weddings, I like to see how others are doing theirs!
