I don't know if any of you ladies are planning on doing this for your guestbook, but it is something I really wanted to do and last night at Target, I found the perfect book for it and I have started on it. Keep in mind the page that you see looks bare because that is where the guests are suppose to sign their names:

I don't know if you've seen it, but my guest book is in my journal and it's something along the same lines. I got the idea off of the "make your own scrapbooks" they have at the craft stores, only I made mine smaller. Here's a pic:

I love your pick Liz! It's a beautiful book and will make a great keep sake! Target has some really nice scrapbooks! I'm still mad that I didn't buy the one I fell in love with a few months back because now it's not there.

Kelli,
is the rose attached to the front of the book?? I have been to weddings where they had something on the front of the book and it was kinda difficult to sign...to be honest most peoples writing came out looking like a four year olds (lol) so if it is attached is there a way you could take it off until after your guests have signed?? Just some food for thought for ya! BTW, your guest book is very pretty!!

Lizabeth,
Great idea! I wish my granny hadn't been such an uptight twit and let me do something like that! Instead she HAD to be me one because she always buys the guest book!! I am so picky it really choked me that she forced an ugly guest book on me!! (I'm still bitter about it...ugggg.)

I like the "make your own guest book!" They're great! Both you ladies did a fantastic job!!

It is attached to the front, but you write on the side that sits flat on the table, so it shouldn't cause too much of a problem. Thanks for the input though. :)

Silly, you're not dum! I should take a picture of the inside of the book too...I didn't think to do that.

Thanks ladies...

Kelli, I really like yours. It is so pretty! I just wanted something that I can stick pictures in as well...Are you putting some of your pictures in there as well?

I like that Lizabeth. I am still trying to figure out what I want to do. My orignal idea was to have squares of fabric for every to sign and have them made into a blanket later on. Not sure how much that owuld cost and I have no idea what size squares I would need and so on. I love both of these books. I hope I come up with somethign soon.

Liz, I LOVE the scrapbook idea with everything in it from the bridal shower through to the guests at the wedding!

Gwen...when we moved from Maryland years ago, someone made us a farewell quilt and had all our friends sign it. You can catch the snippets at Joann's that tend to be discounted (it's the stuff on the end of the bolts or mistaken cuts, that type of thing) and cut 6 in squares. They have markers that are just like fabric paint near the fabric paint section. I think that's a great idea and I don't think it would cost too much.
