Lookin for some love....

Hey ladies!

I guess I am just looking for a few words of encouragment.... This past week I noticed two very large lumps in my neck and they are quite painful at times. I am going to the Dr. today to see what they say. Everyone is making such a big deal out of it, and I am just trying to stay strong and not worry about it. Hopefully it is nothing serious.....

Hopefully it's just some swollen lymph nodes. They can be quite painful. I'm glad you're seeing someone about it...if for no other reason than peace of mind. I'll be praying for you!

I didn't really think too much about it, but we were up north and one of Joshs friends wife said to me "oh my bren, my neighbor had bumps like those and we had cancer.... hopefully that isn't what it is." I was like WTF! WHY WHY WHY would you say that to me.
I have had swollen Lymph nodes in the past but normally they are there when i am sick.... and they were not painful. Hopefully it is my nodes acting up and they will get back to normal ASAP!

I don't know why people say things like that?! More than likely it is just swollen lymph nodes, this usually happens to me when the weather changes, due to sinus'. Good luck!

My friend just had the same thing...came on fast, etc!

Hers were fine and she had to rest and take pain meds, they went away!!!

Let me see what her Dr called them!

I'm sure they're just swollen lymph nodes. I got the same thing before, and everyone scared the bejeebers out of me... Shame on them for doing the same to you!

SOOOO... right now they are saying they think it is swollen lymphs, but they are nervous about the pain, and that I am healthy. I have had my lymphs swell in the past, but it always when I am sick, and they have never been painful...So they aren't really conclusive yet.

The doctor wants me to wait it out and if they get bigger, red, or produce heat then we will take the next step. If they are not gone in two weeks then they want to biopsy it just to be sure

oh, I forgot to tell you this b4! When my sinus's were acting up a lady that I work with told me if you take some antiseptic ointment, like Neosporin, and rub it on your throat or whereever your lymphnodes are tender if helps the swelling go down & the pain lessen. I was thinking "what? thats crazy:snide:"

believe it or not it worked! the swelling went away in a few days but after the first night the pain was lessened

I really hope they get better and this goes away! I completely understand what you are going through and it's an awful feeling. Just keep your hopes up and try to think positive. I'm sure everything will come back just fine. Lymph nodes swell for various reasons, so even if you don't feel sick, your body could still be fighting off infection. Keep us updated!

Thanks for the advice! I will ahve to try that! They have not gotten any bigger, but they are still there and tender...... FH checked them three times yesterday. You can tell that he is worried, hopefully they will go away soon and ease everyones mind.
