Kirby asked me why I didn't have a journal. I didn't have a good answer, so here it is!

How we met-
I fell in love with Spencer at least three times. The first time was when I first saw him, which is what started it all in October of 2005. I was with another guy at the time and we both were at Renn Fair supporting his sword fighting. I pushed away my feelings quickly. After all, I was with another guy and didn't want to be "that kind of girl".

The second time was Spencer's birthday. We started talking about Anime and video games. Spencer mentioned he had Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children being shipped to him, with English subtitles. For two years I had been anxiously awaiting this movie, and the American release date had been pushed back three times already. When he said "I'll let you borrow it" I wanted to kiss him right then and there. However, once again, I wasn't "that kind of girl".

Spencer and I continued being friends, and eventually my first relationship ended. Spencer and I went to the see Aeon Flux, and even though it's not exactly a romantic movie, we held hands and he said "This feels right". I couldn't argue. That was the third time I fell in love with him.

The Tale of the Taco Bell Hot Sauce Proposal-
Spencer had been acting funny. And by funny, it was pretty hilarious. "Lemme see your class ring....I just want to size it up to mine...do you like pink gold?" Then my grandma told me about how he went to my parents asking their permission to marry me...thanks Grandma! Because I'm a horrible liar/actor, Spencer figured out that I knew and decided to move up the proposal from Christmas.
The Monday before Thanksgiving of 2006, Spencer went to lunch at Taco Bell, at which time he happened to grab a hot sauce packet that said "Will You Marry Me?" on it. He decided that night would be the night.
He made me go somewhere with him, as much as I didn't want to, because it was after work. He took me to the place where I asked him out, at a spot overlooking the city. He said "This is where you asked me out, and now I have a question for you...Marry me?". After I said yes, he presented me with the ring and the hot sauce packet that started off the day.

Well, that will be all for my first entry...more to come!

LMAO@ your proposal story

I am laughing because I was out with a couple of buddies of mines at Taco Bell. We were just talking and one guy named Greg ask us how he should propose to his girlfriend. I looked down at my medium sauce package and said give her this! LOL

Or go to a Mexican restaurant and ask her if she needs some sauce and pull it out of your pocket. We all laughed but he didn't use my idea.

I thought it was brilliant I am glad someone else thinks that too hehheeh

It's finally starting to seem real. One of my cousins called me today and we talked about when they would be arriving, which lead to when we should do the showers, bachellorette party, etc.

It'll be even worse when we start printing the invitations...I'll probably start bawling!

Unfortunately I don't know what's happening with the dresses. I think my cousins want to wear the same dress, and they had one in one cousin's size but not the other (one is significantly taller). At this point I just want them to be there. :grinhappy:

My day has kinda sucked.

1) I promised myself on my last day of my senior year of high school that I would NEVER wake up at 5:00 am. I would take late college classes, work a 9-5 kinda job, but NEVER wake up that early again.
Well, when FH's grandmother called asking me to pick her up from her doctor at four, I couldn't turn her down. I love that lady to death and decided to go into work an hour early to leave early enough. So, I woke up at 5:45- and got that stomach lurch from being up to early that I so dreaded in high school.

2) I made it to work, which was boring, but I survived it, and left just in time. In fact, I made it to her doctor half an hour early. Keep in mind the building has at least 7 floors, and I believe her doctor is on the third. Well, I waited out in the valet area, stupidly not realizing she was waiting in the office. I managed to meet up with her and get her home, but let me just say, it wasn't one of my brighter days.

3) As I leave FH's grandmother's, he calls me- we've hit a wedding budget financial snag. Ok, lemme reprhase that- a wedding budget financial paper shredder. After I get home and the paper confetti-ness of our wedding planning has sunk in, I want to cry, but FH feels awful enough as it is, so I'm not about to make it worse. Instead, I internally try to figure out if we could move from our banquet hall to the park where we met and have Jason's Deli cater. After plans to avoid the forums became futile, I venture to a forum with other brides planning their wedding the same month as me...

4) I'm staring at this forum, reading the title of the thread "12/20 brides". This only tends to happen if we've hit a milestone in our planning. After writing the date all day, it never really set in. I open the thread in horror to realize that the day I'm seeing over a year of planning fall apart- happens to be exactly four months from our wedding day.

I started laughing. What else could I do? I started cackling even, and when FH turned to look at me, with his disappointed eyes, I couldn't bear to tell him. I end up rushing outside for a smoke.

How are we spending our 4-month-away mark? I've had two glasses of kool-aid laced with Raspberry Bacardi, while FH has his orange gatorade mixed with kool-aid laced with Private Stock, and I'm here while he's playing his video game. I just keep looking at him, thinking about how much I love him and how at the point, a court-house wedding wouldn't be so bad, as long as I get to be his wife.

As if reading my mind, FH told me he'll figure out a way around this. Surprisingly, my type-A personality didn't completely freak out. In a matter of seconds I recalled all of the situations we've made it through together- and legally. So I smiled and said "OK". He gave me a hug and said, "This is why you love me." I smiled, took a puff of my cigarette, and said "Among other things".

Let the chaos begin! :D

:) It will all come together, I promise. I felt the same way. Somehow it all works out.
