My daughter and her FH are getting married outside. They wanted dressy but not formal so he's buying a dark suit (something he can actually wear after the wedding for other "events" :D). I have seen everything from tuxedos with tails to khaki shorts with cotton shirts... they all look good. So, what's YOUR guy wearing?

We had a very informal ceremony in our home; DH wore jeans and a nice gray shirt ;)

He said he's not buying anything new until two days before the Wedding. :bbeek:

I don't have any pictures (...YET... TWO WEEKS!!!) but my FH is wearing a dark brown suit with white shirt and teal tie, teal pocket square. We got brown shoes for him the other day.

It's his first suit EVER, and he can wear it after the wedding... and he looks spiffy in it too :grinhappy:

I don't know... I told him to wear whatever he wants! I guess I'll be surprised...

I can't even be bothered to make sure my girls match. It just isn't a priority for me!

Black tuxedo, he refuses to wear anything else, we are planning to purchase it so long as everything else dosn't run way over budget. Since I have taken over so many aspects of this though I figure he can wear whatever makes him feel good. However since I am wearing an ivory gown all the men in the bridal party are wearing ivory shirts with their tuxedos, for some reason I am convinced that my dress will look dirty in photos next to his white shirt.

Black pants and a cream/white Tommy Bahama shirt, we got married outside in Hawaii!

Can't he get an ivory tuxedo shirt? http://www.tuxedosonline.com/detail.asp?product_id=XM011V

FH needs a new suit anyway but our wedding is in August (blech, heat and humidity!) and not so formal so I thought maybe he could just do a formal vest over a dress shirt. Anyone know what I mean? I really don't care to much what he wears, he's got enough style to figure it out.

My boyfriend hasn't decided. He knows he wants to wear a renaissance half-cape, but hasn't figured anything else out yet.

He's wearing a black pinstripe tux, black shirt & vest, and white polka dot tie...we're renting...he would NEVER wear a tux again!

The GM are wearing a plain black tux, white shirt, black vest, red/black polka dot ties...I'm so excited for it all!!

He'll be wearing a black tux, white shirt and navy vest and bowtie (to match the BMs), rented from Men's Wearhouse.

Totally! I think that would be nice! I was trying to convince FH that he wanted to do that, since we're getting married on an island in Southern Cali., but I think he wants to go more formal.

DH wore a brown suit with ivory shirt, tie, vest and brown shoes. The other guys had the same suit and shoes, but with a pink tie and vest.

I'm lucky when it comes to this topic, I'm wearing my Class A or Dress Blue uniform. No real choices to be made there for me:D

Well then I'm sure you'll look great! Too bad my FH can't wear a sailor uniform on our day ;)

There was a huge rift of my "vision" vs. reality when my sister, my MOH, refused to wear anything I picked out. I got frustrated and told FH to pick out what he wanted to wear for our destination garden wedding in HI. He told me that if he got to choose, he was going to pick a zoot suit...

Low and behold, when we went to look at the tux shop, he asked for a zoot suit and they showed it to him. He fell in love and got all excited like a kid.

He's 6'7" and the "zoot suit" is really just a five button jacket with regular tux pants. The extra long jacket will look good on him. He's wearing it with a white shirt, white satin tie and white brocade vest. His shoes are black and white wing-tips which look good. He's also getting a white hat and the zoot chain for photos.

The BM and my father are wearing the same basic set up, only theirs are single button jackets (both have healthy "man-babies"). The other difference is they will be wearing green ties and green pocket squares and black shoes.

I'm glad FH is excited about what he's wearing. We're all changing to go to the luau right after the wedding though....saving our finery for the reception back home a few days later.

It really sounds like all the guys are going to look super nice and that their personalities will show just as ours do with our dresses. Good going!!!

I was really hoping FH would wear his Class A but he doesn't want to. So he's wearing a black tux with a white shirt and a silver vest. He'll look so handsome, I can't wait!

i asked him to wear a black suit. i also asked that whatever he wears matches our flowers which were orange. so he wore a black suit with an champagne vest and tie.... i didn't wanna sound like a diva so i let him pick out his suit but to follow those guidelines
