lol got your attention didn't it?
Okay well now that I've got it I need opinions:)
Fh wants to ask his best friend who is a girl to stand up with him at our wedding. I think this is a wonderful idea but we are undecided about a few things....
should she wear a duplicate of the BM dresses?
a dress that matches the tuxes, letting her coordinate with the other Gm?
Slacks & blouse to match the GMFh had mentioned slacks & white blouse, to coordinate with the GM but I think she might be more comfortable at least dressed like the other ladies in the wedding party even though she'll be standing in with the guys.
what do ya'll think?

I like it when girls on the groom's side wear the BM dress but in a color to coordinate with the tuxes (usually black).

I don't think she should dress like the BM, only because this might confuse people.. I know i would be thinking 'isn't she on the wrong side?'
Honestly, i like the idea of finding her a dress that matches the GM. I think it'd be cute. <3

I like the idea of her wearing a bridesmaid dress that matches the guys. I can't remember what your colors are, but another possibility would be to do the reverse of the bridesmaid dresses. Like if your girls are wearing red dresses with a black sash, she could wear the same dress in black with a red sash...

I would go the route of girly tux, like Rory had in Gilmore Girls episode of her grandparents' vows renewal.

Thanks for the fast responses!
ladydante~ cute idea I remember that episode
NOTKT, NEKOCHANPURR & SWEETVENUS~I too liked the idea of a dress to match the GM, I was thinking black with a white or ivory sash.
PGdesigns~My colors are light green, creme & accents of light pink.
I'm just gonna talk to her & see which she would be more comfortable in:)
Thanks again!

I love your colors. I would have chosen them, but DH said no pink!

Thanks! I was only "allowed" to use it as an accent color. B/c when I was looking through bridal magazines and choosing colors, I showed FH & said "well its betwn the green with pink accents or pink with white accents"
He just kept repeating "I like the green, I like the green, I like the green." When I finally looked at him he was laughing, which made me laugh & said "OKAY!" I'll just use a little bit of pink:winktongue:"
He was like that when we registered too though,he didn't want anything to fru-fru, which is fine with me. We both like neutral, natural colors so we didn't have too hard a time picking things out, lol.

Yea, we do too. The ONLY thing that was pink at the wedding were 3 flowers in my bouquet. They were our favorite flower, snapdragons.

thats what I was thinking of doing (b/c the only flowers we'll have at the wedding will be the bouquets & boutiners, flowergirls petals & Mothers corsages) so I was just going to do small pink flowers in the bouquets to make them stand out more.

I'm not sure what a GM is (groomsmen?) I think she should match the other's she's standing with.
One of my bridesmaids is genetically male, but identifies as a she, so she's going to wear a dress and stand with the bridesmaids

GM~ Groomsmen, yes.
Thats cool, I just didn't want her to feel uncomfortable if she was dressed in slacks & the other ladies were in dresses, ya know? Especially if the groomsmen were all wearing tuxes, then slacks might look too informal and she'd stick out like a sore thumb. Don'tcha think?

When I was playing in the orchestra, they had these super-cute skirted tuxes for the girls... I loved them! Though the black dress works, too...

I think she should match whatever side she's standing on (she should wear a tux. Women tend to look good in them).

My brother is going to be my Man of Honor :) He'll be dressed like the other men, though he'll probably have a different color "something" (vest, tie, bouttonierre, something!). He won't have a bouquet walking down the aisle, so he'll be helping our flower girl (who will only be two and would have needed help anyway).
I say let her choose - I bet she'll most likely wear what the other girls are wearing, but maybe do something to set her apart - a different color bouquet or something.

This definetly seems like the best idea. If you want to use a sash I would use one that coordinates with the GM vest, if you are having vests. :)
