Looking at the pics of me trying on my dress, I want to try to create a bit more waist to hip curve under it... I had planned on just wearing a microfiber, longline bra, and some Spanx... but I'd really like to find an undergarment with more powerful waist whittling... I don't know if I should go with a true corset, since the dress isn't heavily structured, and I don't want lacing, etc... to show through.
Ideally I'd like something in white (or nude), strapless, fairly low in back (doesn't have to be DEEP back, but I don't want it showing obviously) and hip length (I want it to go over the waistband of the spanx). Push up cups would be even better. I know there's a million bras out there that meet these requirements, but I specifically want something to give me a teensy waist.
Ideas?

I bought my long line bra at JC Penney's. Check their website and a larger store (if there is one in your area).

Frederick's of Hollywood may have some stuff that might help.

Oh my gosh! Go to Davids. Didn't you see the bras they have to offer? They have a push-up, good waist cinching bra, it is fairly expensive, but hey...so was your dress. :)
It's 79.00, but the bra is by far the best Ive seen. I didnt want to pay that much, so I looked around, but I didnt find anything comparable.
Good luck.

(Oh you missed the follow up post... my awesome Ebay David's Bridal dress has already been resold on Ebay.... and at a profit!!)
However, there is a David's really close to home... I'll go check out their selection. :)

WOW. I must have missed it, I need to go look at that. So you aren't going to be using the DB dress, huh? You paid ALOT for tha thing, how in the world did you get a profit, especially after you had alterations.
Why the change of mind?!
Maybe you didnt have alterations.....Haha. Im a blonde.

Oh you might have me confused with someone else then... no, no, no... My DB dress was an Ebay BARGAIN..... seriously... as was the veil. I just decided I didn't *love* it, so I turned around and sold them (dress and veil together) on Ebay for about a 35% profit. :)

Are you confusing her with StarCoveter? I know she was reconsidering her dress purchases, and one is a DB dress...
But maybe it's someone else! Haha, it's so hard to keep up with all of the ladies and their dress decisions, sometimes!

Yes, I did confuse the two, I admit it.
I looked up the thread and I saw I confused them. I just go by avatar pictures, and both of you ladies have dark hair. Haha. ;)

I just thought i'd add though.. I dunno bout the DB by you guys, but i'm kinda a big girl.. And the corsets did nothin' for me.. The back was made smaller than the front, so it just sort of shaped weird, even in bigger sizes..

Either Fredericks, an SCA/renfair store, or ebay. Make sure you get a REAL corset, with boning and laces. Those are the best kind (even if you can't bend over).
