We've been married for a bit over a month now and I just gotta say...I love married life!! It's not worlds different than our lives were before the wedding, other than all that crazy wedding stress being GONE...but it's just wonderful :grinhappy:

We moved into our current house back in April, but the wedding left few moments for unpacking/organizing...so now that the Thank You Cards are out of the way, that's what we're focusing on. I'm usually not big on decorating because my "homes" for the past 10 years have been so temporary...I never bothered because I knew I'd have to take it all back down soon. But now that we're going to be in one place for awhile, I'm getting really excited about making it look good :)

I've changed my name and we've opened a joint bank account. Everything is official now. Can't wait to see what adventures are ahead :)

We FINALLY finished cleaning up/organizing the house last night :biggrin: :biggrin: :biggrin:

It looks so good and feels so nice!! DH was such a big help!!

This weekend we're doing some shopping for a couple more pieces of furniture and little things we discovered that we needed...but once all that is in place, we are DONE :D I can't wait to start having people over!!

Well, we're ALMOST done...lol. Everytime I think we are, I notice something else that isn't complete yet. We picked up a futon and an antique chair for the guest room over the weekend - but now it needs a bedside table. I had to order a bedskirt for our bed from Amazon, cause the only ones with an 18" drop that we could find in the stores were upwards of $50 - no thanks! And I had to buy a frame for a print that I bought recently. But now I've got to get photos printed to fill all the other frames we already had...lol

Ohhhh will it ever end? :P

Adam thinks it's adorable that I'm "nesting" lol :laugh:

I have been in my house for over two years and I have to tell you somthing.... I don't think that it ever ends! But I love it! Glad youa re getting settled in! I LOVE your rainbow room! Especially the rug int he doorway..... SOOOOO CUTE!!!!

Haha! Decorating the house will NEVER end. Just when you think you're happy with it, you'll want to change something, or add something. But it's fun!

It's been awhile!! Just wanted to pop in and give you guys an update and say HI! :)

I feel so bad for my poor husband. I'm certainly putting him through "for worse" early on!! In August I got sick a couple of times and started feeling really horrible. In September, I was diagnosed with Autoimmune Thyroid Disease (Hashimoto's Thyroiditis) and in October I was finally put on medication for it. But I haven't been getting any better. I'm exhausted all the time...no energy for anything...can't think straight/poor memory...and now that I've gone off birth control my hormones are all outta whack too. It's been a real nightmare...so much so that I've resigned from my job and Wednesday will be my last day. Adam really wanted me to take some time to get better - he hates seeing me so down.

So here we are. We'd like to start a little family next year, but I've got a long way to go to be healthy enough to support a pregnancy. And I already know I'm gonna have issues on that front besides. But I'm hopeful that 2009 will be an awesome year for us. Our relationship is still as super strong as it always was, and I know that will continue. My hubby is THE BEST!! I just can't wait to get myself healthy so I can be a better wife to him.
