I keep hearing about so many women that just had this feeling when they tried on their dress and knew it was the one. I however, have found about 15 of The One. Every shop I go to has a dress I fall in love with. I'm not sure if I should just pick a dress shop at random and just buy the one I fell in love with from there, or if I should just keep right on shopping. Tell me I'm not the only one!

At current, my newest love is Nicole by Pronovias. God I love that gown! It's so slimming and elegant and perfect. I even love the oyster color. But I just know if I go to another shop or look at even one more gown, I'll question the choice. How on earth did you all deal with this part?!

That is a nice dress! When I was dress hunting, I had already pictured the style of dress I wanted and bought that one.

I bought a dress completely different from the look I wanted.

I say go to a store that you know you love. Dont keep hopping around, if you love everything then anything will do. Haha.

Try on about 10-15 dresses, and narrow it down by two. Eventually, you will have "THE DRESS..."

Now have fun dress hunting.

I agree with Tawni (and I too ended up with a gown very different than those I initially thought I'd like).

Make an appointment to go try on gowns; go ALONE the first time. Narrow it down to 2 or 3 (or if there's different gowns at different stores, 1 or 2 at a couple of stores). Then go BACK with 1 or 2 people (a good friend, Mom or MoH) - you DON'T want a big group with you, because too many opinions can be overwhelming. Then allow them to voice an opinion... while yours is ultimately the only opinion that really matters, they might point things out or make suggestions you like (so taking a good, HONEST friend is imperative).

But really, you WILL know as soon as you put it on.... There were many gowns I LIKED and even a couple I LOVED (and I tried on easiy 50 of them) but I knew "THE ONE" as soon as I saw myself in the mirror in it.

Thank you all so much for the responses!

I've thought about it a lot and I'm going to go with Tawni's advise. There is one particular store here that really stood out to me for a few reasons and I think I'm just going to stick with that one. The staff was just incredibly friendly and low pressure and the shop just had a great feel to it. It also has excellent reviews from previous bride.

I like the idea of going in by myself first and then coming back later with a couple of people. That way I can narrow it down a great deal before they ever see any of them. That sounds like it would definitely reduce conflicting opinions a bit.

I don't believe in "THE" dress. I would just get the dress that is most flattering and fits the kind of wedding you envision. Oh, and that is in your price range. If there are tons like that you love, pick the cheapest!! Sorry if I am no help, I am not very romantic about wedding dresses!! ;)
