Ok, I'm home and back on my sofa. Now I will try to remember details and share pictures when they arrive.

Before I start anything I want to share just with all of you that I've been technically married since last August. I talked about it on an eloping thread once and we really only did it because of insurance. Still, it's kind of funny. I didn't though change my name until now and only got our rings now.

We went to Newport RI for a couple days and hopefully to Ireland in October.

First a quick wrapup:

Rehearsal dinner in our backyard was perfection, except for me cutting up my leg when I fell.
My dad did the nicest slideshow in our backyard of Erik and I.
I got to see all these relatives I haven't seen in YEARS, it was wonderful.
I was ok Saturday morning until my DJ called and up and just said "so since it's GOING to rain tomorrow what's the plan?" When I got off the phone I started to cry hysterically. I wanted to cancel it all and felt like I had absolutely no good luck at all.
I had my hair put up in curls to set for the next day and the girls and I had pizza in the hotel.
I only slept about 2 hours the night before.
Hair took a lot less time on Sunday than planned and we had to actually fill time until my mom got there.
We waited a little while at the hotel and I took an Ativan to relax.
At the hotel they confronted me that the ceremony would be inside and I had to go off to another room and cry. After my cry I got over it.Will continue on...must watch Swingtown.

Sounds like me when we decided we couldn't get married on the boat. I totally understand being so sad over not being able to have your ceremony where you planned.

I'm so glad you had a great time though. Welcome to the Mrs. Club. Can't wait to hear more!!

I was TERRIFIED to walk down the isle, just because I knew I'd be stared at. Erik and I are both very shy that way. The string quartet was unbelievable but I was sad that because the walk was much shorter inside I didn't get to hear as much of the song as I wanted to hear. I did relax a lot more once I got to Erik.

The ceremony was short and sweet and the Dr. Seuss vows couldn't have gone any better...they were beautiful and cute and got a couple giggles.

We also had a beautiful huppah that really made it just that extra little bit special. I can't wait to show pictures, **** people need to get on the ball here.

Yes, I can't even express how beautiful it was walking down the isle. So amazing.

and i understand how you feel about the wedding being outside...mine was suppossed to be outside and it was pouring on my wedding day so it was moved inside, but they did an awesome job inside also.

Oh wow! I love the Foo Fighters lyrics on your cake! That's such a great idea!!

I may have to use that idea - different lyrics of course - but that's totally something I never thought of!

I love your shoes BTW. I'm going to wear flip flops since those are my shoe of choice! I love that you did things your way. That's soooo what I'm hoping for.
