We have tickets to see Stereolab tonight. I should be in a state of inconsolable excitement! But, I'm in a state of panic. Our babysitter that we lined up months ago has STREP THROAT!! Carlo might have to stay here.. But I'm scared of him not coming since the evil she-beast will be there. I don't want to sit in a car with her. She makes me feel slimy to be around her.
So, my Best Friend is going to a wedding. My other friend works tonight. The other bridesmaid is going to a concert, and the last one is the one that is sick. My flower girl's Mom is going out of town.. And I don't know what else we're going to do! I want him to come. If he doesn't, then we will all go in the same car. If he does come, then we will have to take two cars, and I can stay FAR away from that creature.

What about your new friend at the apartments? What about the Grandparents? Carlos parents live close, dont they?

Stereolab is one of my favorite bands. Carlo's parents live in Houston.. Not really very close at all.
We found someone, though! It's a close friend. He's got experience with babies, and Elias just loves him. So, he's going to stay the night here since we won't be home until reallly late.
Woo-hoo!! Stereolab is going to be a blast!!

They are from France. Great great band. Love their music. I'm thinking about playing one of their songs at the wedding. :bbmrgreen:

That would be a very personal touch to your wedding. Even though I don't know the sound that sounds like a cool idea. I know you are probably there right now. I am wishing you have the best of times!

;) Well, things didn't pan out like we hoped...
We got about 10 minuted away and our firnd called. Elias was SCREAMING. He just didn't understand what was going on, and wanted me and Carlo, and was freaking out.. So we turned around and came home. He's fine now, and we're missing the show, but oh well. I've got their albums, and our friends who are there will bring me back a tee shirt, so it's alright.
Poor little Elias. I was crying in the car when I heard him. I tried talking to him on the phone, but he wouldn't have it. It's alright. I'll see them some other time. :bbmrgreen:

Sorry it didn't work out. Sometimes thing just happen when children are involved. You seem like you are a very good mother Carrie. Elias is lucky to havey a mommy that cares so much for him. So many children out there are not so lucky. Give yourself a pat on the back!

FOr one I want to say your very lucky to have any one at all to babysit for you. The only person I have is my ex-mother in law. Her and I are still close so it is ok but I dont like to use her all the time. So the kids tend to go with us every where. The only time we MIGHT get to do somethign without them is when their dad takes them.
And sorry you missed they show. The joys of being parent. You will get a chance again I am sure. But you have that cute little boy who wanted you. I know how that feels. I bet you just couldnt get home fast enough could you.
