hello --
I think i have found the dress. It is very simple, organza and a little lace. However, it is 210 dollars, including shipping (no tax). That is not including alterations, but i may know someone who will do them free. We have a low-as-possible budget (we could afford a little more, but i would prefer not to.) I have never owned any clothing, not even nice leather boots that cost that much. Is it too much to spend?

I spent over $700 on my dress, including alterations. I wish I could've found one for $200 that I loved! Def not too much in my opinion. But it's totally up to you and what you feel comfortable spending.

If its the dress you want and have to have then no its not to much. Alot of ladies spend about a thousand on their gown and that includes alterations. If its the one you have to have grab it while you can!

Can you afford it? If so .... and if you love it then buy it!
I found my dress in an antique store and I paid $300. I felt pretty lucky at finding such a good deal!

I assume this is the price for the dress you posted about in the other thread?
The price sound fair for that dress :)
Most wedding gowns are way more so you would be doing good ;)

210 is a great deal. We had virtually 0 for a budget, but then I kept mooching off of my FH's parents, and they've paid for ALOT!!! :D
My dres was 700 WITHOUT alterations. It was on SALE too. I say take the deal and be happy, no matter what the budget is. :)

$210 is a BARGAIN for a wedding dress, especially one with some lace and detail to it. Heck, most "destination" gowns (which have very little detail, and are very simple in construction) run in the $300 - $500 range, with more formal, detailed gowns running much higher.

I agree with everyone else, sounds like a good deal. The cheapest one I've found that I like is $460. I always thought I couldn't imagine spending over $100 on one dress, but I've found that they're quite expensive.

It sounds like a good deal to me. Especially if you could afford it and you love it.
I spent $750 dollars on my first dress, and never really loved it, but found the dress I'm going to end up wearing on a fluke for $115.... so essentially I've wasted $750 because I can't return the dress and probably won't be able to sell it on ebay because it's been altered.

$210 is pretty average, and as long as you love it more power to you. My cousin just had my grandparents buy her a $900 dress so I'd say you're doing good ^_^

210 dollars INCLUDING shipping is an amazing deal!!! Also, if you can get people you know to do free alterations, that is also amazing.
It sounds like you really really want this dress, and from the way you describe it, I can't blame you.
I say go for it. I would kill to be able to find a great dress at that price. I am looking at around 1,000 on up for what I want and like.
Congrats on the great find, and I am sure all the ladies here can't wait to see pictures of it. I know I can't!!
