I am starting to think about what I want my wedding dress and attire to look like and I've decided that I don't want to have the veil over my face. I would rather have it on the crown or on the back on my head because I would like my hair to look like this...

(Sorry it wont let me post the picture yet. Take the space out of www and ., . and com, and . and jpg)

Is this improper? Ladies, what are your thoughts? Thanks for the advice!

A lot of brides don't wear the veil over their face. It's all a personal preference! It's definitely not improper.

I am not having my veil go over my face. I bought a one tier elbow length veil and my hair will be similar. If that's what you want, do it. I think that style is beautiful, so do it however you want or need.

As a new member you are unable to post pictures and links right away. But stick around and post some more and you should be able to shortly. I see Elizabeth has already posted the picture for you :)

Many brides choose not to wear a veil over their face or a blusher. Not improper at all. I am wearing a single tier veil that has no blusher. I want FH to see my smile when I walk down the aisle. :D

I don't think I see most brides with veils in their faces anymore. You can do whatever you want!

I'm inspired to write a thread titled "you can do whatever the &*$^# you want at your wedding!" ;)

My future sis inlaw got married this past saturday. She had a long veil (went to her butt) and it wasnt over her face. Im wearing a elbow length veil and it wont be over my face either. Im scared I'll get to hot and pass out with it over my face even though its just tulle and you can see and breathe through it Im to scared and dont wanna take the chance. You can do whatever you want!
