Ok so I'm pretty late to this whole journal thing but the AC just broke in my house so I don't have the energy to work on wedding stuff.... so i thought I might as well make a journal (better late than never) :grinhappy: .
Um so here's the background. David and I go back a long, LONG time. Back when I was three my mom decided to get a job and needed a babysitter for my brother and I. She got referred to David's mom who was at the time taking care of children. David was 7 and I was 3. I spent about a year there and David would even walk me to school when I started preschool. After that year my mom decided that she preferred to be a housewife and quit her job. David and I lost contact for many years. Then right before my 15th birthday I need another guy to be in my court (you know... for the whole quince thing). Well my mom remembered this cute kid from a long time ago and gave him a call, but it wasn't our time to be together yet.
Right before I graduated from high school David ran into my mom at the mall and he asked her how I was doing. My mom had a pic of me in her purse and let him see. He asked if he could come over that night and my mom agreed. We chatted that night and got to know each other better. We started dating but then I moved away 5 hours to go to the University of Florida (Go gators!) and the distance was too much for us. We broke up and in a not so good way. I carried a lot of anger and bitterness and refused to hear from him or keep in contact. Well last year thanks to my roommate at the time (my own lil cupid) we started texting each other. I graduated a few weeks after and we kept texting and emailing back and forth. We then moved into phone conversations and after about a month of all night phone conversations we made it official and started dating again (6-8-07). Six months later he proposed in front of my church and family (12-23-07) and now we're planning our wedding that will take place on 08-09-08! We're truly excited and are making up for all the moments we missed during the past. :D

I'm trying to figure out how to put pics in here.... so we're stuck with attachments for now. These are some pics of some of the stuff I've finished.
So far FH has completed my shoes (got them online for $19 with shipping and then he put swarovski crystals on them... they look beautiful in person!).
We've also completed our invitations and the candles for our candle ceremony. We decided that one unity candle was not enough and i saw this cute ceremony somewhere online. Basically we will give each guest a candle as they come in, then when the pastor commences the candle ceremony an usher will go to either side of the back of the church and light the candle of the person at the end. Each person will light the candle of the person next to them and the ppl in the corner will light the candles of the person in front of them. Our mothers will be sitting at the first seat on either side of the church and they will have their candles lit last. They will then come up and light our candles and then we will light the unity candle. The theory behind this is that it's all the same flame and it symbolizes the unity of all our family and friends.
Only prob is we only have an hour at the church so I'm hoping we can fly through this, especially since we're also doing a sand ceremony. eek! But no one will sing or read any partsso I'm hoping for the best. So what do ya'll think?

lol.. ok. Here's 4 of my favor boxes for the candy buffet. I still have 146 to make.
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa180/migsepu/Wedding/favorboxes.jpg
This is what my centerpiece will look like (hopefully... we're DIY) only I'ma remove the hanging votives and those napkins won't be in the way.
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa180/migsepu/Wedding/centerpieces-1.jpg
I made a test run of it to see if I can manage the project but I still don't have a pic of it. The willows will be live, but the orchids are silk so I can make the arrangements like 3 days ahead of time. This way the willows will still have some green on them but I don't have to freak out about them the morning of.
This is an example of the small cruet jars that will be on the candy buffet. These will have aqua and white M&Ms hopefully.

http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa180/migsepu/Wedding/diygum.jpg
And finally these are our DIY cake toppers. We bought some plain ones online and bedazzled them with swarovski crystals. (FH loves sparkle).

MORE PICS TO COME LATER ON.

eeek... i'm so excited! FH just surprised me with a yellow gold e-ring for lunch! I had been complaining for the past few months about how I could only wear white gold and silver because of my e-ring and my college grad ring is yellow gold (I just graduated a year ago and only got to wear it like 6 months lol). So apparently without me knowing he went and bought me a gold one. Now, given... it's smaller than my original, but it's such a thoughtful gesture! Especially since he's tight on money right now! But yeah...he's wonderful.. and that's one of the many reasons i'm marrying him! :grinhappy:

THANKS! I fell in love with my colors. We're actually decorating the master bedroom and bath with the colors aqua and chocolate cuz we love them so much. lol. The candles were a great find... we got 10 for a $1.00 at dollar tree and then bought some stickers and decorated them. You can't even tell their stickers though... I love them! I made 120 of them (cuz i don't think everyone will come to the ceremony) so the candles costed me $12 and the stickers $2. Not bad huh?
We also got a big sticker for our big unity candle for $1 and bought a pillar white candle for $5. :grinhappy:
For some reason after making this journal i feel like more of a bride and more excited about the wedding! eeeeeek!! :D

My sand got here at the end of last week. Another yay... I just love getting packages! The colors were beyond perfect. It was the perfect shade of tiffany blue.. too bad everything else I've bought for the wedding is more of an aqua since tiff blue is so hard to find. O well... after the ceremony it will match my living room which will be tiffany blue and choc brown! :grinhappy:

ok so I totally didn't do the stuff I was supposed to last weekend. I slacked off with FH's family that was down from Orlando instead of doing my weddingly duties.
On a brighter note, I went to the hall yesterday and picked out the food and other food items. I also started my veil last night with my mom. Hopefully we can get that done this week so I can take my bridal shots next week.. and hopefully this weekend I can paint the dreaded aisle runner!

How did you make the monogram for your guest candles?? LOVE THEM!! :)
Yay thanks! :grinhappy: The monogram is made of clear stickers actually that aren't visible against the white of the candle. They blend in SO WELL that only when you move them around under the light do you see they're stickers. The best part... they're from the Dollar Tree! Yup, and they were on sale (who knew they had sales lol) and I got 2 packs of stickers for the price of one ( I ended up using 8 I believe because it was 4 of each letter). It was so easy and really does add a nice touch. Only some Dollar Tree's carry them tho and they're in the scrapbook section, but it should work with any clear stickers.

Well as an update the shower was so beautiful! My girls outdid themselves, but unfortunately a lot of people missed it. :bbcry: However, the people that did make it were the special ones anyways and they made it very enjoyable. :D I'll be posting pics later today!
I also did my bridal pictures yesterday!! It was so much fun BUT SO HOT!!! We did them at Vizcaya gardens (one of the prettiest places for photos) but it sure was hot outside yesterday. I thought i was gonna pass out at some points. Hopefully it doesn't show through in the pics! I totally can't wait to see them. It was so exciting to put everything on and see it all together. Woohoooo 18 more days till the real thing!!!!

Ok so I'm totally excited. I got a call yesterday from my photographer and he asked me to come down to the studio. When I get there I see a print-out of his photo options with MY BRIDAL PHOTO on it!! I about flipped out!! He said he loved my photos so much he wanted to use one to show all his brides. He wanted me to come by to get my permission to use the photo. I only got to see that one cuz he's still uploading the rest and touching up the backgrounds and such... but I'm SOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!! :grinhappy:

I really wish I could share but they come out all blurry like the engagement ones. :bbcry: They print out very tiny copies of them for me to pick the ones I like and I don't get the CD with all the pics till AFTER the wedding.
But I did get to see the bridal shots and I LOVE THEM!!! They came out SOOO well!! I do look chunky in a fews... but what am i gonna do... I"m wearing ALL WHITE! But other than that and some annoying bangs we're good!
