Ok ladies, we are finally home! We ended up staying with my DH's mom and dad (they let him out of the hospital but he is on strict bed rest!!) for a few days...had to hook up some entertainment for his dad!

Anyhow, the exsisting problems with my DH seemed to have cleared up and he is good to go! However, the doctors say that I do not ovulate properly (or possibly at all!!) so its a big round of tests for me and fertility drugs for four months, along with an ultra sound to make sure every thing is working properly and as I think Audrey had talked about this as well, an HSG!! Its a lot but I know its so worth it when we finally do get pregnant! We will try four months on clomid (fertility drug) and then move onto IUI (intrauterine insemination) when we are ready! That is, if I am cleared of any other problems (ie tubes being blocked, etc.) then we will take things slow and see where we will go! So, needless to say, we are hopeful and are waiting for when all the tests are done and we know which direction we shall head!! I am staying VERY positive, I don't think there is much wrong other then my hormones being wacked up!!

Take care all! Its good to be back...now I just have to catch up on four pages of posts!! lol

I'm so glad to hear everything went well! Hopefully the medications will help so you don't have to do IUI.

You bet!! The info on clomid says most women who have no blockage or any other problems besides not ovulating generally become pregnant within three or four months of taking the drug!! I hope it will work and the HSG will come back normal!!

Good luck with all your tests. I hope everything works out well for you. I am very interested the in the field of reproduction. Mostly I am interested in equine reproduction and maybe bovine. However, I am currently researching premature ovarian failure, which is a human condition. Just wondering, if I may ask, are they testing your FSH and LH blood levels?

Yes I have three blood tests that need to be done this month in relation with the timing of my cycle. They will check all the hormones and then give me a report! There is always a chance that I could have something called PCOS...poly cystic ovarian syndrome...I'm not totally up to date on it seeing as I have not been diagnosed with it, but it deals with not ovulating! I guess a person can always google it, if they are interested!!

Yeah you can find a lot of info on polycystic ovarian syndrome. It seems, to me, to be a pretty common disorder these days. But anyway good luck and I hope it works out. Chances are you just have a minor problem that can be fixed fairly easily. I wish you all the best!

I hope everything works out well for you. We are going to be trying to get pregnant later on in the year and I'd be gutted if it takes us a while for it to happen. I hope we don't have any problems we don't know about yet.

We never figured we'd be in this boat either! but the blunt truth is that 1 in 6 couples will suffer from some sort of infertility! I would never wish this on my WORST enemy!!

Thank you both! I really hope that everything comes back normal!! I will keep you all up to date!

I had one child with nps and then couldnt get pregnant again, they wouldnt do tests til after a year because we already had one child and when they did they found out that my tubes were blocked. I had an appt to go in and have them cleared and further investigations and they did a pregnancy test b4 the procedures as routine and discovered that somehow i had become pregnant - so i kinda understand how you're feeling @ mo, just keep positive and good luck with everything!! xxx

Good luck with the tests! My sister is due with her first child in May and she had ovulation problems as well. It took them a while to get pregnant and she was on clomid for little bit (watch out for the crazy mood swings that stuff causes) and then all of a sudden - it just happened! You'll be in my thoughts!

Good luck! A good friend of mine had ovulation problems similiar to yours and now has two adorable little girls. So there is lots of hope. In the world of infertility if sounds like you got some good news on this one. We will all be hoping for the best!

I wish you all the luck, Shawna. I have a girlfriend that just did the same thing, with the Clomid and such. It worked on her second try. :D

Those mood swings are what scare the hell out of me!! I've already have really bad mood swings when I get my monthly friend! I hope my DH can handle me! lol...well to be honest I think he wants a baby more then I do (if thats possible?? I don't know!) so I always say "the juice is worth the squeeze!!"

I really appreciate that there are so many people here that give us support!! Thank you all, it is great to have friends like y'all!!

I am sure all will work out for you. Just dont get your hopes up to high and dont give up either. Stress is a major factor ( I beleive anyways ) when it comes to these things.

I am thinkning of starting trying for one a month before the wedding. Sounds foolish I know but Nihcolas' b-day is May 9th. He wants a baby soooo bad and I thought it would be a great b-day present to tell him I want to start trying. If and that is a big IF I just happened to conceive I wouldn't be any bigger then I am right now by the wedding. One month does nothing to me. But then we could annouce it at the wedding. I know not the right way to do it maybe but hey since when do i do things the right way lol.

Yes, I would love to give Elias a cyber cousin as soon as we can! I hate how infertility is considered a disease but it is never covered by health care! Its just down right stupid espicially because 1 in 6 couples suffer from it!! As soon as my first period comes along I will start taking the clomid I was prescribed! It is my hope that while on this drug I can concieve without having to move onto anything else!! There is hope, where there was no hope before!! I feel good about this! I really do!
