Ok ladies, I am sooooooo ecstatic!!!! :D
My mom and sister came to visit for the weekend. Yesterday was my fitting for my dress from the altereations at DB.... I didn't like it. I think I just wasn't in love with the dress from the beginning, and some of you may remember the ordeal I went through with it at the FIRST alterations place, then re-buying it for cheap off ebay, then taking the second of the same dress to David's Bridal. And STILL not loving it. I went yesterday and started crying as soon as I tried it on. It's a pretty dress, and it fits me alright... I just think that I bought it when I did because I was feeling the pressure of time running out and knowing that I would need alterations. Here's the link to that dress - sorry I don't have a good picture of me in it, so this will have to do (http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridal_gowns_detail.jsp?stid=2340&prodgroup=127).
Well, my mom was looking for a MOB dress, and we went to Jessica McClintock. She pulled some dresses, and while we were looking for her's, I saw a dress that I kind of remembered, it was my size (I actually thought it'd be too small), and only $115. I took it in, just because, and tried it on, and I LOVE IT. I think it's supposed to be a bridesmaid dress, but whatever! It's silver (which is freaking me out a teeny bit, because I have no other silver decor, anything... do you think that's alright???), it fits soooo snugly/sexily, it's got a beautiful pattern, perfect length, perfect fit, no alterations needed!!!!!!!!!! I HAD "THE FEELING"! The one that has eluded me for this long, and with the other dress.... I took it off once I decided to buy it, and did a happy dance! :ura1: Here is a link to it (http://www.jessicamcclintock.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10002&storeId=10001&productId=128526&categoryId=10332&subcatname=Bridesmaids&spage=1&langId=-1&parent_category_rn=10318), but it's really much prettier in person and on me :grinhappy:... I still have the "armpit fat" that only I focus on, but in this dress, I didn't care... seriously. I mean, it's still there and it's the ONE issue I have with the way I look right now, but the way I felt in the dress and the way I looked... it didn't matter! I'll get my sister to take a pic of me in it and I'll try and get it up here soon! :)

I can sense the excitment in your post. It's a beautiful dress. Don't worry about not having anything else silver in the decor. I think it will just make you stand out more. And that's the idea right :winktongue:
Isn't it a great feeling to finally find the perfect dress for the perfect man to see you in on the first perfect day of your perfect life together.

Oh yes, I'm soooo excited! It's crazy how a dress can make such a difference! I mean, this is THE dress! :)
I told FH that I bought a new dress.... well, gave a lot of hints until he guessed it, and he was like "Oh Kristina, did you buy a new dress????" with this tone, and I giggled and started babbling about the experience of trying it on and me, my mom and sister gasping (and me doing the happy dance half-naked in the dressing room- haha). And he's SO happy for me. He said "good, now you will FEEL beautiful and glow that much more, and be that much more beautiful on our wedding day... which will show to everyone" and he is just so happy that I'm happy and not stressing AT ALL and not freaking out anymore... what a relief!
I'm not going to show him though - I'll let it be a surprise for the day of! :grinhappy:

Cute dress! I'm happy you found it and got that A-HA feeling! If you remember, I wasn't too fond of my dress but amazingly enough, I was SO HAPPY with it on my wedding day. It really did help to have the veil, make-up, and jewelry on! What a relief! And don't worry about the color, it'll be GORGEOUS!!

Awww.... yes, I do remember you being unhappy with your dress, and I'm SOOOO glad that it worked out for you!
I have to think about what kind of veil to get, and now I need new shoes (*giggle*)... and, after looking at it again, it's not tooooo silver.. but definitely has a silver glint to it. I love it!
Do you think it will look good next to a chocolate brown suit w/ white shirt? And possibly teal tie and pocket square? (FH's outfit, of course)

The new dress looks great! I confess to loving most every Jessica McClintok gown tho ^_~
Girl, that dress is so YOU! I did love that first dress, but I just gasped when I saw that second dress because it seems so much more right for you. I can't wait to see a picture of you in it! Yay! :grinhappy: I think it will look perfect next to his attire. Possibly even better than the first. That color combo with the teal and chocolate has a modern hip flair and your new dress has more of that style.
