Ill start my journal :P

Where to start? I guess we can start before I actually met Danny, But have heard about him.
I had a friend named Alessanra in my Spanish class in HS. It was the end of the year and she was so excited for her Senior Prom to be arriving, but did not yet have a date. She thought to ask a boy who was in her Youth Group at church, named Danny, being they were friends. She showed me photos of her youth group, and pointed out Danny to me. (Me oh my! Was he very cute!)
The next friday was her Senior Prom, and the next day was her Graduation Party that I was invited to. Well low and behold, so was Danny. We were introduced very briefly. Alessandra said she thought it would be cute for us to be together.... typical HS girl behavior (always thinking ahead). Well after many games of Twister, I gave Danny my screen name and phone number.
That night he Instant Messaged me online, and we got talking from there. Danny asked me out for our first date for the next Saturday which would be June 22nd. June 22nd came and we went to go see "Hulk" in the movies. That night led to the first kiss <3.
The next day, June 23rd, we met up at Starbucks in Matawan. Spent about an hour there, and then just hung out afterwards. He asked me to be his girl friend, and of course I said yes. How could I pass up the most sweet and handsome guy I had ever met. Years pass, with exciting adventures and happy moments.
We found out that we got blessed with a baby in August of 2006. Our Princess was born April 13, 2007. She is the light of our lives. Ok so we didn't get the chance to do things "the right way" but what is "the right way" now-a-days any way. We would't change anything for the world! We are such a happy family!
Well here we are. Kylie is now almost 14 months old, and Daddy had just proposed to Mommy on Monday June 2, 2008!
Here is how it happend. I knew Danny had bought an anniversary gift(or anniversary is june 23rd), but had no idea what. He told me he told his friends, sister, my dad(first thought wha?!? why?!?) and co workers. Well Of course i got antsy and wanted to know. I played the pouty, sourpuss game. I did the whole , "why does everyone else know, but me?" game. Needless to say, While we were going to bed that night, I was laying on my side, finding something to put on TV. Danny layed behind me on his side, reached his arm over to hold my hand, he the ring in it, got out of bed to my bed side, on his knee and proposed! Very sweet! Of course I said yes, I have been wanting to be his wife since day 1. Hes definately my better half.
Wow, and the planning has begun for sure! We are so much in love, and are very excited to spend the rest of forever together.

WOW it has been forever since I have wrote ANYTHING besides my first post. So here I will do a quick update so I can start updating with the recent stuff.

Here is what we have accomplished in the month and 1/2 we have been engaged.

*ceremony and reception booked with a deposit
*planner included
*Dress purchased (alfred angelo style 1612 Tealness trim)
*Bridal Party chosen
*BM's ordered their dresses yay!!( Alfred anfelo style 6308S tealness with black trim)
*DJ researched and will be contracted and booked next week
*Photographer Booked

Right now we are in the process of finding a dress for our daughter (our lil flower girl). We are also interviewing and researching an officiant. This is the HARDEST PART!! I feel like everyone we find isnt "right" if you KWIM. I dont want some lady whos all Scientology like on us etc. We want some religious aspects. Im Catholic and Dan is Presbyterian. Any way.. Hope someone out there is reading and has warm wishes and good thoughts for us :D.

As my daughter is on my ,lap i will try to type the best i can..heh.

Im going out today to find Danny's ring. He can't wear anything too "nice" because he is an Audi Technician. So Besides his wedding band, he is getting a band tattoo that I will be desigining. He already has one tat that I branded him with ;) . It was his first too haha. I designed and band for him, and that was his very first tattoo. So desiging his permanent wedding band is very special. We dont beleive in all of that hocus pocus, and bad luck ****. If that were true, he wouldnt have gotten the first arm band i made for him. And look at us now 5 years later, and were more in love than ever!

My hair actually got alot lighter after a few more washes. Its growing on me, but I cant wait to get it stripped out so i can get it dyed professionally. But that wont be for a while.. I do have a wedding to pay for and all!.

Speaking of wedding... haha, I paid 500 more dollars to our venue yesterday leaving our bill at $2340.00 left to pay (plus or minus) but roughly based on the amount of people we have on our guest list so far.

But the venue is including so much. We are having our ceremony and reception in the same room. Our guests will be seating at the tables where they will eat at during the reception, for the ceremony. I spoke to my coordinator yesterday and we are set on alternating table napkins Black teal black teal black teal and so on... on the tables for a more modern look. Its beautiful!

I need to order my daughters dress soon! Her dress will take about 12-14 weeks to come in as well. my only problem is, shes 15 1/2 months. She turns 2 in April. But im afraid about Size dresses with her. Im thinking i should go with a 2T , but im not sure. shes a tiny girl, so i think 3T wouldnt fit her around June. I dont know. Maybe I should just get a normal White pretty flower girl dress from Davids Bridal, and make a teal sash myself? That way I can wait a bit on ordering her dress, and still add color to her dress like mine? Hmmmm decisions decisions!!!

Ninedays9
08-07-2008, 08:09 AM
I think it'd work to make a teal sash for your daughter's dress. I don't know if you want a "real" flower girl dress or not, but if you really want to make sure it'll fit, places like Kohl's have adorable dresses around Easter time, which would be fairly close to your wedding day.

Well I need to get this off my chest , because the day ios drawing nearer, and Im getting more scared. I need all the reassurance in the world.

Heres the low down.

Im a good person. Ive never been in trouble EVER. Ive never even been pulled over before. Well In february of this year, I was leaving the dollar store, with my at the time 10 month old daughter screaming because she was hungry. So i put her in the car( I drive a 2006 Durango), and start to back up. I must have surpasses reverse a bit so my gear was in between reverse and nuetral (make sence?) so it let me go in reverse, but slowly, and as i was backing up something wasnt right, and the gear snapped fully into reverse, and it bucked me back. I slammed the break and felt a buck. I thought the buck was me slamming on my breaks. I was freaking out thinking i just broke the car. So i pulled foward back into the parking spot, Still with my hungry cryign 10 month old, trying to hurry to get my daughter some lunch. So once i fiddled with the gears putting the car into each gear to make sure it "clicks:, I left. Well After i get my daughter food. Would you believe that there was a note on my door from the local police dept, that The car was involved in a motor vehicle accident? Im like what??? a WHAT??? So im all confused, and then the insurance company calls. THE ONLY THING i could think of was the incidant after the dollar store. So i tell the insurance company what i just wrote above. The cop left the departments number. So i try to call him and well, he was out on runs, and then finally his shift was over. I thought i was screwed. I was terrified. So I was told he would be ast work at 7 am the next morning. I called at 7am exactly! And he said I need to come down to the station to get my citation for a "HIT AND RUN" !?!?!?! Ok calling it that freaked me out. I couldnt believe what I was hearing. So i go down with my daughter , and he tells me I back up and hit a car and her bumper tapped a light post. Two witnesses got my license plate and reported it. I had no recollection of hitting something. But apparently that "Buck" i felt wasnt me slamming on my breaks, It was my tapping a car. Ok so The officer actually was pretty nice and gave me the ladies information to call her and apologize so that she didnt press charges, But by law the officer HAD to take it court because i wasnt at the scene. I spoke the the lady and She was understanding of me having my 10 month old (shes 16 months now) crying in the car, and said the insurance company is taking care of it, and that it was fine. Well 6 months later on THIS friday I have my Court date of the state against me. Im terrified. It was an honest mistake, and a jailable offence. The officer said he doesnt see the judge putting a stay at home mother in jail for a night or two. But he does see me getting hit with a HUGE fine and Points. OK fine But my biggest Fear is Community service! what am i going to do? I have a Public Defender, and i really hope it helps. I HAVE NEVER EVER gotten in trouble. This is a 1st time offence. And an honest mistake. ladies please tell me its going to be ok. :sob:

Ok so friday went pretty well. I was a nervous wreck but this is what happened:

I was found guilty, But I already knew that, and I wasnt denying it either, i just was fighting the fact that i was unaware. Basically... I was there for 3 hours while other cases were going (one made me cry... it was a CPS case) any way.... The 2 witnesses didnt show, but the Lady did show and the officer as well. The lady (so many names are to be said about her right now argghhhhh!!!!!) came claiming that $1100.00 had to be paid out of her pocket, because her insurance wouldnt cover it do to the fact her car has 130,000 miles on it, and didnt know if the damages sustained where due to the impact (slight impact) or from her car being so old. So the Judge said this was calling for a hearing. And that a third party adjuster would have to evaluate the damages (in photos). The lady denied the hearing, and said she wanted it over with (WHY EVEN COME TO COURT THEN???). And she left. the Judge did ask her why she was there , and the lady said because she got a notice to. Um ok lady, You were trying to get 1100 bucks outta me! Well because of my clean record and the fact that witnesses werent there to say what they saw, I got Probation Before Judgment For 1 year.(PBJ) because by calling the lady to apologize, I admitted to the act, and had to pay 100 dollars in court fees, and fines. Thats IT!!! ITS OVER. PBJ for 1 year, means I cant get another serious traffic violation for 1 year. and a probation officer will be checking my record every so ofton to make sure. If I do get another violation I have to re appear in court, and more serious actions will take place. But I have nothing to worry about! PHEWWW I can breathe!!

RebelChick

also .... Wedding planning can now fully come into play (i took a break because of court) but now, Im at full force at it again! Yay

Just wanted to say that you got a very pretty dress! I saw your avatar picture had changed with you wearing the dress, so I had to come and find it. (I've been kind of behind on posts lately.) Anyway, the dress fits in so well with your color theme.

And good job getting it on by myself... when I went to try on a dress, I saw it hanging there, and I just looked at it in confusion, then had to have the clerk help me put it on, haha.

Ok so Im really mad about Invitations. i need to make approx 50. I have all the cute designs in my head, and on paper (ready to design in cs3) but before i put all my hard work into them, how in the world much is printing going to cost me? and then envelopes? and then embellishments etc.. Ive totally approx 150 bucks! Still cheaper than ordering them from some company (and alot prettier too), but i dont even know where to start :(

EarlyBird
09-14-2008, 05:01 PM
honestly, i would check check and double check about the costs. 150.00 isnt a lot once you add in all the paper and embellishments and envelopes and everything. utilize your you 40 and 50% coupons at acmoore, michaels and joanns. Also, i know alot of girls got their materials online (papersnmore i think)

I also got my daughters flower girl dress.

The strip of roses comes off, and I am adding a WIDE teal ribbon underneath it. I think it will add a Nice accent and match my dress at the same time http://www.baltimoremommies.com/forum/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif . The teal ribbon with also be tied itnot a Bow WITH the sheer ribbon thats already on the dress except the teal ribbon will be long and drape down the entire back of the dress. (similar to my wedding dress >_< )

I love how it goes with our theme too. its so fairy looking and Our theme is sort of "love found in the enchanted forest"

so some may remember back in June when i ordered our cake toppers and we pretty much got jipped out of 50 bucks. We paid a shop off ebay for fairy bride and groom figurines and come to find out they went bankrupt and stole our money. Any way.. i found another shop that is only 1 state away and i spoek to the lady who owns the shop and told her these are VERY important and i dont want that to happen to us again. She said the figurines are on Back order until the middle of November , BUT she has 2 sets shes been saving for (an emergency). she considers my situation an emergency and is putting them in the mail when the ECheck clears!! YAY! Here is what they look like. I cant wait. I hope they will look good on the cake. They fit our theme so perfectly!

Thanks Amy!

On a side note, danny and i are having our first date(without baby :) ) in 1 1/2 years (since right before our daughter was born) We are going to McCormick and Shmicks this weekend! yay! We scored $50 off a $100 tab from restaurant.com (for 4 bucks!!) so we are getting 100 dollars worth of food and all in all only are paying $50 at the restaurant plus the $4 we paid to get the gift certificate :D im stoked!!

Its a seafood restaurant (they sell steak and pasta too)... but weve never been. It apparently is a Seattle restuarant (originated from there)

Thanks for thinking of us! Our date was wonderful. McCormick and Shmicks is amazing! Expensive, but amazing! Kylie did so well for dans co-worker. Never cried once! She was so good!

It was so nice to get out and remind each other we really do love each other outside of the mommy/daddy role. Gave us a chance to reconnect, if you will.
