How many weddings do you have booked?

Hello everyone....Just curious to see some averages for people. How many weddings do you have booked for this year? (especially asking wedding planners)

If you didn't know, I am new to the business. This is my first year to have clients. I just have 3 maybe 4 weddings at the moment. I wasn't asking to make it some sort of competition or anything. I'm just wondering what to expect in the future. Basically what i was asking is what is your average number of weddings per year?

It's been a while since I was a wedding photographer, but back then I was doing around 40-50 a year.

Most people that have to stick around for the entire wedding will shoot around that number unless they are really popular then it is possible to do around 100 a year with a Fri, Sat, Sun weddings.

But you are right most people don’t want to share if they are doing less or more then the next person out of fear or something.

Like l3vi, I used to be a wedding photographer but it's been a little while ... when I first started, I worked for a larger company I did about 50-60 a year. The place I worked for did 100+ a year! I worked with them for 2 yrs. Then I did wedding planning and did about 50 a year with them, well I wasn't there for a whole year but, I did about one a weekend.

Then I started photography on my own and did about 12-20 a year (I only took on 1 or 2 a month, by choice) I did photography on my own for 2 yrs. Since then I have done wedding planning on the side along with my other non-wedding work. Now I only do about 4-6 a year, but like I said, it is on the side for me now ;)

I know other wedding planners in my area that get about 25-50 a year.
