i originally wanted diamonds, but after being on this forum...it really made me think...so i picked a sapphire instead because blue is FHs favorite color (hes obsessed with it!!) so every time i would see one i would think of him...so this is the ring we picked together :D

the best part is that its only $65!!!! woo hoo for savings!!! we might get a different one around our one year but depending on how much i love...i may just keep it!!

Very pretty. I picked out a Sapphire ring, too. I'm just not really a diamond kind of girl and I wanted something completely different from all my friends.

Very pretty!!!!! :)
I'm a sapphire bride, too. I chose it because it's my FH's birthstone (and also because I wanted something a little different).

Lovely! I like the setting a lot! Is it sterling or white gold?
Edit: Oh, and I'm also a sapphire bride! :D

Yay for getting your ring! I know when I got mine it felt so much more real to be engaged! Very nice choice too!- who says that all engagement rings have to be diamonds? It should be what you love the most!

actually i already have my engagement ring....but FH thought i would only wear it until i got a wedding ring( i guess thats what his mom did) so in a way, he sorta half-a**ed it. i think its beautiful and it has diamonds like i originally wanted....it just doesn't have that "this is my wedding ring" feel to it. more like place holder. i'll continue to wear it after the wedding, but most likely on my right hand. the two of them wouldnt go together...

but seeing some of you other sapphire brides and those who have just "different" rings that look so beautiful(RainbowBrite!!) made me have a change of heart. i think thats why i was having such a hard time finding one that stood out to me...i wasn't looking in the right department!!:D

You could always move that to your right hand for now, and then maybe for your first anniversary, have that reset into a 'tracer' band so that it'll fit with your sapphire ring.

Pretty much. A jeweler will form it to "trace" the lines of your e-ring, so that they fit together. So it won't necessarily be the chevron shape like the one above, since it would be made to fit your ring.

I'm not sure... it MIGHT not be too bad since you've got the gold and the diamonds already. It's more a matter of resetting them and recreating it. I really have no idea how much, but it's something to look into!

Very pretty! It's interesting to see how many people here have sapphire rings. Very cool.
