This is for my FSIL; she is pregnant with twins and says she is feeling sick pretty much all the time. Anyone else experience this; how do you deal?

When pregnant with my daughter I had horrible morning sickness. I actually lost weight during the first weeks. I dropped from 113 down to like....I can't remember if it was 105 or 108 - not good either way.
Anyhoo... I got those motion sickness bracelets. They look like those sweatbands but have this marble like thing that you place on a certain pressure point on your wrist. They helped SOOO much. I also fell in love with Tums, ate blandly, and had a love affair with Sierra Mist lol

Ginger (tea, candied, cookies, whatever) helps a lot. Tell her to squeeze lemon in her water. Sour candies also help. Peppermint oil (like in Altoids) is good too. Earth Mama Angel Baby makes a spray called Happy Mama Spray that smells citrus-y. You can order it through their website. :)

Oh, the biggest one I forgot about!! Protein!!!!!
With both mine I was sick all the time. Then I transferred into the care of a Midwife and she pinpointed why I was getting sick and we resolved the issue. :)
She needs to be eating protein every couple of hours. Chocolate soy milk was my favorite. I ate lots of yogurt, cheese, beans and rice, quinoa, tofu, nut butter, eggs, and tempeh. She really needs to eat even when she doesn't feel like it.

It is normal to lose weight in the first 3 months. The biggest thing I have heard is saltine crackers. I never had to deal with it myself but my best friend is pregnant ( just startingher 4th month ) and she has been sick all day. She will eat saltines all the time. It has helped her alot.
I was told if you have morning sickness to have a couple of saltines before you even get out of bed in the morning. Not sure if it works but hey can't hurt to try.

I am 7 weeks pregnant and I am officially feeling the morning sickness!! The doctor prescribed me some medication that is safe for the baby and takes away the bulk of the morning sickness!! Now it is managable!! To get through the remaining morning sickness, I usually do a lot of deep breathing and drinking some raspberry tea that is supposed to help with relieving morning sickness!! I don't know if it actually works but it sure tastes good!! LOL!! Other then that I use saltine crackers before I get out of bed and try to eat frequently throughout the day!! It hurts a lot less to have food in your stomach then without!!

Congrats on the pregnancy! I've been curious about pregnancy so I've been reading about it. My husband does not like that at all! He wants to wait a while before we have kids.

I am 18 wks pregnant now and have had morning sickness all along. My Dr. gave me a sript for Dilectin, safe to take while pregnant. It has helped alot. I was trying saltine crackers, they helped but this is so much better. Smelling a cut lemon also helps. I know sounds silly, but it works.

I was sick all the time for the first of my pregnancy. IT was horrible. I found as long as I ate small healthy meals through out the day, not letting myself get too hungry, I wasn't as bad.
