Mack and I left for Gatlinburg on Thursday and after flying into Nashville and a 5 hour drive to the mountains, found our wedding cabin to be just as cute in person as it was online! It was just as quaint and cozy as could be! Cedar Bluff was the perfect name for this cabin since the interior was just beautiful polished cedar as well. Of course I didn't get any pictures of the inside, but here is the outside:

It was late when we got in, so we went to a little restaurant for dinner that had a wonderful patio overlooking a little mountain stream. Mack bought me a rose, and we enjoyed a nice quiet dinner then back to the cabin.
Friday morning I got up early to find this amazing view off of the cabin balcony.

The moon was still out and the smoke had cleared. It was so quiet and still and just wonderful. Once Mack got up and we got ready, we headed into
Gatlinburg to get our marriage license. We got to the courthouse and within 15 minutes had all the legal paperwork we needed to get married. The clerk told us that they process over 400 licenses each week! Wow! No wonder they have so many chapels in Gatlinburg!! They are 2nd only to Vegas in the number of weddings performed each year. After we got our license, we decided to explore Gatlinburg and of course ate at one of the hundreds of pancake houses that are on every corner. We rode the tram to Ober Gatlinburg and saw dozens of beautiful cabins, and amazing mountain views.
We did some shopping in the Arts & Crafts district and bought a Mountain Dulcimer. It is really neat and finally an instrument that I can play! It only has 4 strings, and you basically play by number so it is pretty easy! We found a grocery store and bought flowers for my bouquet and ingredients to make penne with sundried tomatoes, pesto and chicken for dinner, found a winery and bought a couple bottles of wine and then back to the cabin for the night. I put together my bouquet while Mack made a wonderful dinner.

Saturday we slept late, got up leisurely, watched Food Network while we got ready and at 12:45, Pastors Jodi and Bill arrived at the cabin for the ceremony. They were both as friendly as could be and wonderfully professional. The came into the cabin, brought a boom box with lovely wedding music, set up on the balcony and within minutes, Mack and I were in the middle of the most intimate, special Christian ceremony I could have ever imagined. The readings were from the Book of Ruth and so fitting. Pastor Bill took pictures while Pastor Jodi did the ceremony. Mack and I both teared up during the vows, but we made it through it without really crying. It was just perfect. I know that most people really want to share this moment with friends and family, but I have to say with it just being the two of us and the preachers, it was so special. Before the ceremony, I took some pictures of our rings with my bouquet and this one turned out great!

We don't have wedding pictures yet, but I will post them when we get them. After the wedding, we changed back into our jeans and went to the Alamo Steakhouse for lunch. There was a momma duck with 10 little duckings in the stream that we watched while having dinner and it was just another one of those wonderful moments that we will remember about this trip.
Finally we went through the Smoky Mountain National Park the rest of the day and just enjoyed the amazing views of the mountains and streams. What a beautiful place to share a beautiful moment in our lives together.
