I'm really excited. If we like them, we will put our money down. But, I'm really lost. What do I ask them? What makes a good/bad photographer? I guess anybody can show me a picture that looks good, how do I tell?

What I really like about this couple is they are a husband/wife team. The husband goes with the guys in the morning, and the wife goes with the girls. We are only paying for them to take roughly 700-800 pictures the day of the wedding. They put it on a CD/DVD with all the copyrights and its all edited and high resolution. So, I can get pictures through them, or go somewhere else and print them. And, I'll have ALL the pictures not just the ones I liked.

I'm just paranoid because I hear about so many people who don't like their photographers. I want to make sure that I'm not one of them!

my photographer was a husband and wife team! i loved them!
questions oh man i dont know. I knew them before we got married and loved all their work they did. we knew when we got engaged that they would do our photos. we actually made sure they were avaiable for our date if not we were changing our date for them.
I think someone else posted the questions that should be asked, maybe you can do a search on it.

Make sure you see all kinds of their photos, not just the "good" ones in their portfolio... see the outtakes too, just to get a good idea of their work.

And make sure your personalities work well together. These people are going to be RIGHT THERE the whole day, and you want to make sure you're comfortable enough to be yourself around them.
