Well i've been on OW since April and let me say i LOVE you guys lol. It's getting really close to the wedding and I didn't want to stay a stranger forever so here I am.

About me:
My name is Samantha but only my family and Timmy call me that. To everyone else i'm Sam, my 2 best friends call me Sim....but i dont know where that came from lol. i just turned 22 on Cinco De Mayo. I'm going to college for Real estate management i passed both my finals with 100's!! Also...i have no job lol, I haven't in a few years. I would LOVE to have one but my mom has been very sick for a little over a year with cancer. I have a 9 year old little sister ( who may or may not be special needs, shes a GENIUS but is immature for her age, i think she'll catch up. one Dr. said it may be asperger syndrome...??) who i take care of which keeps my schedule busy. I have a spaced out family i have 4 siblings ranging from 37 to 9 lol(2 brothers and 2 sisters).

About Timmy:
Well his name really is Timmy...not Timothy lol i found that kinda weird when i first met him. He's used to everyone saying "TIMMMMMAAAH" like southpark, but it's getting kinda old haha. He's 24 and works for his dad in their family transmission business. He specializes in racing transmissions so if anyone needs one he has ads out just me know lol. He's been around drag racing his whole life. He was the national Jr. dragster champion when he was 11 , and received a Wally. you can still "google" it hehe. He has magazines and trading cards w/ his face on it how cool is that....even though he was a kid! He's a Chevy kind of guy, he loves his old camaros!

How we met:
Well let me start out by saying my best friend Beth's sister, Andrea, and Timmy's brother Jimmy are married. I used to practically live with Beth and we would spend the night at their house alot. They had pictures of him around and i always joked around and said i'm marrying him!!! I had just turned 16 and he was 18.
Well our rival school's (who we loved the guys from lol) graduation came around and we went to see our friends. We went w/ Andrea since she was going for Timmy. After the graduation i was talking to my friend Boomer when Timmy came up and said "hey girl, you know how to work that camera" i dont remember but i guess i was messing with my camera??? anyways he didnt even know i was there with his family until we started to leave. Well we were supposed to go out to eat with his fam but it just so happend to be the day my BOYFRIEND of 2 years came back from bootcamp, so i skipped out to be with him. Well a few weeks later i realized he had changed so much after being gone for 9 months, he was so used to being only around guys he didnt know how to treat a girl anymore. One night i went out with Beth and Randa (now my 2 MOHs). beth had told me Timmy was talking about me and wanted me to call him, so i did. The rest is history. I dumped my B/F and Timmy picked me up from his house. We went on our first date to a haunted corn maze.

The engagement story:
We LOVE LOVE LOVE the beach. It's our favorite place to be! We usually go to the panhandle about 4 or 5 times a year, so i didnt think anything of this trip in particular. it was 9.8.07 and we were stargazing and laying on beach towels by the water. he turned a spot light on that made it look as if it was daylight, i'm sure everyone in all the condos could see lol. He got on one knee and asked if i would marry him. There were more words but neither of us can remember them haha. I never even said yes b/c he knew the answer.So here we are and the wedding is June 29 2008, we tried 6.7.08 but it was taken.

Last weekend was my bridal shower! I got SOOO much stuff, everything for the kitchen i could possibly need and then everything for one of the bathrooms (for the house we dont have yet lol). People kept picking up my camera and taking pics and this is what i ended up with.
They actually had the setting on "night" or something b/c they were all messed up. I tried to fix them but they still look off. I'll be getting the rest from my aunt soon i hope! YAY for presents!

I've been SOOO busy! it seriously just snuck up and hit me! I'm so unorganized i'm not even close to being ready! I haven't even addressed invites yet b/c my dad and FH wont get on the ball and get addresses! I'm just gonna start sending out some early. I'll take a pic of them theyre so cute! somehow i ended up picking pink and green, it looked summer-ish and our colors are pink and charcoal silver.

not the bouquets just the colors, the first one is just shades of pink and then white. or pink white and green (colors of my invites) oooor we could get funky with it and go with the pink, orange, green, yellow, and purple. I want to stay true to the venue's southern charm i don't know if that would throw it off.

This is our dog maggie. I convinced timmy to keep her after his parents dogs had puppies. She's been living with him but in 27 days she gets to live with her mommy! We already know thats her dream b/c she looooooves me and she hates just about everyone else even though i hardly ever see her right now.

Well i talked to my florist and i think we got a good deal. She said we got $2,500 for $887.

My whole theme of just gerbera's is out b/c i didnt know they were $3 a flower lol. So i opted for cheap fillers w/ gerbera accents.

My bouquet was $75 and has pink roses, gerbera dasies, peonies($60 for 3 omg!! she's putting silk instead but swears no one will know lol), carnations, and green poms

The BMs were $35 (x6) and are carnations, gerbera daisies and poms with grass caging.

The Jr BMs (x2) have carnation and daisy kissing balls.

we have like 15 bouts
and 10 corsages

the whole aisle decore (kissing balls , arch and rose petals)
The bridge and water w/ daisies

10 center pieces and cake table decore
and other decore around the venue

The price includes the fabric for the tables, and bows and rented things to hold the kissing balls etc.

I'm hoping i got a good deal lol. I really dont know what it's going to look like, to tell the truth i'm a little nervous!!

Yay we might be getting a house! We were looking at apartments but for $880 a month (actually less) we could get a house and actually own it. Only problem is we need a co-signer! Timmy's parents said they would, possibly tomorrow!!! i hope cause i wish we could mark that off the list. it's coming before wedding stuff...and i really need to get to wedding stuff!! Anyways i'm crossing my fingers!! we get to pick one of these!

I finally ordered my cake topper! i originally wanted the swarovski mono letters but i wanted a monogram on the cake so i picked this. i fell in love with it

I talked to the bakery I'm getting a 5 tier cake w/ one tier lemon filling, one raspberry filling, and the rest butter cream. If i chose butter cream over fondant i will save $200 plus it tastes better. however fondant looks so pretty. For 200 i'm all for butter cream!!

YAY we're getting a house!!!!!! my favorite one got closed on yesterday!! BUT it worked out for the best b/c now i love this one the most. I think its one of the ones up there. it had red bricks and a huge kitchen and laundry room, trey ceilings, crown molding and a nice sized guest bathroom. i love it. we would have already signed a contract but our mortgage broker was in a wreck and is in the hospital =( we found a new one today and hopefully things will get taken care of this weekend

We had our engagement pics today FINALLY! it was over 90 degrees and it was windy (hot wind doesnt help very much) sooo i felt like i looked like ****. This happens every summer, but today was the first time this year that my eyes decided to bother me from allergies. It just started watering and didnt stop the whole 4 HOURS! yes 4 hours it was only supposed to be 2 but i'm not complaining i wanted those extra pics!! We had to take most pics on my "good side" lol b/c i had tears pouring down one side of my face and my hair was blowing around in timmys face lol. but the few thew showed us were really good. Our photographers are amazing it's her and her husband and they just make you feel so comfortable like your out w/ your friends playing around or something lol. She has an amzing style! she's more of the "photo journalistic" type and i love it. they have these "signature shots" they do, i can't wait to get them and show ya'll!!! Even if i did look like butt!

YAY we got our ring tonight and i talked timmy into getting one w/ diamonds. I sent me ering off to get replated or whatever and saudered to it, i feel so naked with out it i'm not getting them back until 5 days before the wedding. AND i just realized....i'm not going to be able to wear them to the rehearsal dinner or the Bparty b/c the band is gonna be on it. I cant wear it before i get married!!! Should i buy a "dummy" ring? Maybe no one will notice.I can't beileve i didnt notice that.

I honestly don't know how were getting this house haha. The housing market is good right now and were getting a nice house for the same price as a appartment, which i think is CRAZY! When his parents found out we were looking at apartments they werent happy about what you get for your money.
We looked it up tonight and it said this listing is no longer available. but the pic didn't have sod in the yard. We found another listing on the same site and it had green grass soooo maybe they just replaced it and it didnt get sold. If it did i'll be heartbroken!!!

Well we registered at belk tonight b/c everyone kept asking us to. we registered for our china and silverware, and bedding. You know the usual. We had so much fun getting stuff accomplished lol.

Well i'm officially heartbroken! We didn't get approved for our house due to the terrorist act bush passed. They said 9 months ago we would have gotten it! It's so not fair that we have enough money to pay for it but can't get it. We haven't paid taxes in the past 2 years. Timmy's income is basically an "allowance" and his dad makes enough to pay for it himself (he co-signed), so i don't get why we didn't get approved. We're gonna try one more time at his bank instead of a mortgage co. before it gets too late. The i guess we have to get ripped off and pay a buttload of money on something we wont even own. I really don't want the cops knockin on my door just because i turned the TV on lol, i've never had neighbors so i think i'm gonna hate a appartment where you have 80 lol. Sorry i'm just venting, i'm trying to keep myself busy to not think about i. 12 days away and were homeless WTF! i've never been more disappointed i feel like ****!

like i said i've been trying to keep myself busy. Well i tied the ribbons on all my wedding cake bubble bottles. I tied 2 rings to each one and tied a little bow. It look forever and my right thumbnail feels like it died, but i'm glad i got it done.
Also i started on 3 of my 12 paper lanterns. I got white ones and hot glued rhinestones around the top and the base. Now i still have to tie ribbon from the bottom of them. So far i'm really happy w/ how they look! We're going to tie 3 over each table outside .


I just checked the weather for our wedding day and it says high of 90 (oh well lol) and intervals of sunshine w/ some clouds. sounds good to me! I'm still praying it wont rain!!



Well the photographer called and said our pics are ready already!!! they should be putting sample pics up today. I don't think we'll have time to drive there today though. i have to meet my caterer and shower her how i want everything set up. Then we have pre-marital counseling uhgg. on top of all that we have to look for a place to live!! tomorrow i get my hair highlighted!!! i need some relax time, i love how they wash your hair lol, i try to do it like that myself but it doesnt feel good at all haha.

i think we found a place to rent! it's brand new but its only 2bed 1bath. we planed for 3bed2bath but oh well. only problem is it's in tennessee i'm a bama girl....not sure how i feel about this i refuse to get a tn. tag on my car they get harrassed b/c they really dont know how to drive lol no offense, but every time someone like almost causes a wreck we look and then sure enough its a tn driver, it never fails.

Well we had our last meeting w/ the preacher and he says were ready to be married....duh! and tomorrow is the reheasal dinner and rehearsal. i gotta go buy a rehearsal dress...like right now

Well, tonight was our rehearsal and dinner. It was really fun we had over 40 people there lol. i had steak and Timmy had catfish lol it was really good. I have pics but i have noooo time to put them on here. To be honest the rehersal didnt help much b/c i still feel like i dont know what i'm doing, she like coordinated the way i'll be turning around so i dont step on my dress...it makes things sorta confusing haha i wanna just turn around and walk. Theres still a 40% chance of rain but we didnt even practice inside just in case, i wish we would have.
I keep forgetting that after the wedding we get to go to the beach for the week. i'm so focused on the wedding i havent even bought clothes for it.
Anyways i'm prining out my fan programs now they're so much easier than i though they would be. I still have a ton of last minute stuff i dont know if i'll have the time for.
Our party is tomorrow and we don't even know where!!!! probably a lake house or one on the mountain. I'm just scared b/c drunk people and water/cliffs dont mix you know!

my moh is taking me to get spray tanned tomorrow, i've never done it and i'm little scared i'm gonna be orange lol! i'll tell them to go light, by makeup artist reccomended it too so i feel a little better about it.

ok it's a done deal! the day has come and gone and i can barely remember anything about it hahah. well first of all about 20 minutes before i walked down the aisle and we heard a big clap of thunder...it got dark and sprinkled then went away and the sun came out!! Everything went great as far as everyone else could see but #1....timmy forgot the rings and they had to run home 15 minutes away to get them 15 minutes before the wedding! #2 when i went to walk down the aisle the wind blew my aisle runner and we had to stop and let people fix it. it was kinda awkward haha.#3 i really forget everything i was supposed to do but no one knew but me lol. #4 my little sister balled her eyes out all i could hear was sniffling haha. Everything i told them i wanted they had it and more. they even had daisies lining the driveway which was a surprise! Everyone loooooved the candy buffet, it was a good choice. Our bouquets were gorgeous. all in all i'm happy! i did feel like i was gonna pass out the whole time we were up there but i kept it cool lol. oh and on the way to our honeymoon (which timmy talked me into wearing my dress the whoooole way there 5 hrs!) my veil flew out the window on the interstate and cars were dodging it lol!!!!! we went back to get it and it was perfect lol nothing wrong with it. i swear i saw a 18 wheeler run over it!Now we're here on our honeymoon and its raining so i'm bored and tired from the whole week! i'll post a few pics we took in a few

Hey ladies!! Well don't think i forgot about you we just don't have the internet yet. we moved to TENNESSEE i still cant believe it, it's only 1.7 miles from the AL. state line but still i'm a bama girl. I love our house we still feel like were on a vacation and have to leave soon b/c thats how it's always been, we've never lived together before . I have yet to hear anything from the photographer but when i do i'll be sure to post some.
