Girl Scout Cookies

Ok, I got some Girls Scout cookies today and I haven't had them in a while. My fav are the 'Samoas' I ate half the box today (all day mind you, not in one sitting ;)) I noticed that they changed the name to 'Caramel Delights' I guess someone thought 'Samoas' wasn't P.C.

I think 'Tagalongs' are my second fav. So what is your favorite flavor Girl Scout cookie?

When ever Girl Guides come to the door selling them I just have to do this!!

Them: "would you like to buy some girl guide cookeis?"
Me: "are they made from REAL girl guides?"
Them: :bbeek:

Then I laugh and tell them its a joke!! Its funny cause usually they are like 13 and understand so I don't feel so bad!! Usually the parent they are with get a good chuckle from it too!!

I guess I am a bad person!! lmao, but I find it so funny!! I love the looks on their faces!! And I am a pratical joker that way!! I usually ask telemarketers for their home number so I can call them back at their supper time when its more convinient for ME!! lol

I'm a little disappointed. I haven't seen any girl scouts this year! None went door to door in the area that we know of. And normally you see them outside Walmart or the grocery store. I want cookies and can't seem to find any!!! (FH said I should have gotten Cookie Monster on the Seseame Street quiz Carrie posted!)

I have heard of and seen the Double Dutch ones before but never tried them. My dad use to like them alot, but now he is diabetic and can't eat sweets like he use to. I have never had the thin mints, but I hear they are good. I do like the Junior Mint candies ;)

Ok, so we got girl scout cookies awhile back when we happened to catch them outside Drugmart. My favorites are do-si-dos (the peanut butter ones) and I got my FH a box of tagalongs (the chocolate and peanut butter ones). Well, he polished off his and dug in on mine! I got like three...guess it's his way of keeping me on a diet. I especially love tagalongs and thin mints when they're frozen...YUMMY! I like trefoils too, with peanut butter! :)

I've been a girl scout since I was little and Samoa was pc through all that time...I'd be mad if they changed it now! Those are good too, but I have to be in the mood for coconut.

MMmm...one year they had these caramel nut cluster cookies that were absolutely heavenly! They only had those one year...and then there were the low fat ginger snap ones that tasted like cardboard...ya this is making me feel old; I'm going to stop now.

We don't have any girl scouts come to our house either. Usually I know someone who has a little girl in the scouts but I haven't in years. I noticed the other day they had a table set up outside of Walmart, but then I forgot to get some on the way out. :bbconfused:

I love those peanut butter ones and the carmel ones with coconut on them. Sorry I don't know the names of any of them.

It is too bad the girls don't get more of the money from selling them. It is like 50 cents a box isn't it? That doesn't seem like very much for a little box that costs $3.50.
