I just watched Bowling for Columbine, and I have to ask. Do you lock your doors?

YES YES YES!!!!
I am terrified to not lock my door! I thought that was so bizzar when i saw that. Maybe in the really small towns. But i've always lived in the City, so i've been a bit more cautious.
Mark always worries when he comes home and the front door isn't locked.

A friend of mine used to live in an apartment building and they never thought to much about locking the door while they were home and up. Especailly when they were expecting someone since you had to buzz up to get into the building. Well one night they are all sitting in the living room watching TV when they heard someone come in and go into the washroom (which is right beside the front door). At first they thought it was her b/f who came in. But then whoever it was didn't respond. Insted they walked back out the door. They never saw who it was. But it was very strange. Since then they always locked the door until someone buzzed up.

Well, I am not Canadian and I have never seen that movie but I lock my doors all the time, I think I am a bit obsessed about it.

We have a steel front door and a bar, not a chain on it. We usually go in and out through the garage door. Funny slightly off topic story, one day the power went out while no one was home and we couldn't get back in the house because the garage door opening wouldn't work with the power out. So we just went out again until it came back on. We now have it on a back up power supply ;)

Yes we ALWAYS lock our door, even when we are home !! I was wondering where the h3ll they went for that movie because I'm not sure there are many people who don't!! Well ok except for farmers!! They hardly ever lock the doors to their homes!! (I come from a farming family) We live in a fairly big city so we'd be nuts to not lock our doors!! Besides all that we also have a security system that we turn on at night!! And any time we are away!!! (and it chimes if any door or window is opened!!)

When I'm at home I don't lock the door, only at night when we're sleeping.
I don't set an alarm though, even though we have one.

I live in a small town, not Canada, but we have about 700 people who live here and I lock my doors. I don't lock them when I up, but when I am gone or asleep I do. Or sometimes if I am alone at night when I am awake I lock them. But I also have a dog in here with me at all times that would eat someone alive who didn't belong here.

Yeah she's my baby, and she's really sweet, but this pup is super protective. One time she nearly bit our roommate. We were bickering about the answering machine message (really stupid right) and I was sitting on the ground and my dog was beside me. He reached over me to delete the message I had left, and Sadie growled and tried to get him. I guess she thought he was going to hit me or something.

I live in a quiet little town, at the end of a dead end street. I always have my doors locked. I even have a cop living just below me. It's just habit to lock them right away. Steve says it just makes him feel better when he knows I'm home alone.
