So I am a newlywed (married April 19, 2008) and I figured I would try and keep up with a journal. Married life has been great so far and I can only look forward to more unforgettable memories with my husband. I have always wanted children and have never had a problem with being patient about having kids....but lately it is hard. I guess about one week after our wedding I started having this deep desire to have a baby. We were going to wait but figured there is no reason to... We have already been together for almost 3 years and lived together 1 1/2 or more. We wanted to wait until we paid off the credit cards (only about 6,000.00) but like I told my husband...that is not much and we can still do that. My thought is that more then likely we are not going to get pregnant right away...but of course only God knows. So we have decided not to prevent the pregnancy and see what happens.... :D

I am SSSOOOoooo excited ... I can't wait to experience it all....to see myself and my husband in another human being. I look forward to seeing how a child changes myself but especially my husband. I know he will be a great father.

Off topic a little... I have been taking prenatal vitamins for about 3 months now but would miss a dose here or there but since we have been married I have been taking them everyday. Well the problem is that I have not been able to sleep more then 2-4 hours a night... I can't seem to go to sleep until after 5:30 - 6:00am every morning for the past week. The only thing I can think that is different is the prenatal vitamins. I did a little research and I really only found one website that said that the vitamins could cause insomnia. I guess maybe it is not a side effect for many women because like I said I have not been able to find much literature on it. I am hoping it stops... if not I will have to figure something out. I have never had this problem before. Maybe if I try a different brand that will solve the problem but probably not likely since they all pretty much consist of the same vitamins and amounts. Has anyone experienced this??? Or have any information on it????:detective:

On to another topic.... I went ahead and left my job and I am now working from home. I am trying to start up a small business selling things on Ebay. I don't have to make much and we are not really dependent on my income so now is the perfect time to try something new. We definitely don't working outside of the home when we have kids so I figured now or never. I am very excited about all the changes that have been occurring in our lives and I can only pray for continued blessings.

Until next time....

So I am very excited to say that I am now working from home. I knew I would eventually do it but thought it would be awhile before I got to. God had other plans for me though : ) Which I am in favor of just really did not think it would happen at this moment. Since I came back from the honey moon I have quit my job and been working from home via selling on Ebay. I love it and I am already making more then what I was expecting. I cannot tell you just how great it is to be able to do something I have been wanting to do for so long. I love being able to work when I want and do what I want when I want.

Of course one of the main reasons for wanting to work from home is to be a SAHM one day. I do not want to have a family and have to work out of the home fulltime... that is stressful to me and I want to enjoy my time that God gives me with my family. I think it is amazing how some mothers can work and pull it all together for their family (school, homework, church, games, parties, field trips, etc... ) but I hate to feel rushed all the time and I know if I had to work fulltime out of the home and had a family I would most certainly feel that way.

Ok... enough of that. Just an update... still trying to conceive and according to my calculations I am ovulating so I should get off the computer and snuggle with the hubby :goodluck:

Congratulations on being your own boss! Do you make things to sell on ebay? Have you thought to try esty, too? Good luck!!!

Good luck with the baby, too! I was told by my doctor, who really seems to think I need a baby (LOL, not planning on it for awhile, sorry Doc.), that the only really important vitamins and minerals I need (besides a normal daily vitamin that I already take anyways) is an extra calcium supplement and folic acid. You might want to ask your doctor if you have any special needs that I don't, or if you can do the same to reduce your insomnia.

Ohhh, much luck to the baby making. I have a 7 month old son, and it wasn't necessarily planned. I look forward to the next child, so that my FH and I can plan, and TRY to conceive.

On another note: Prenatal vitamins actually made me sick, so throughout my pregnany my doctor suggested I take Flinstones Vitamins. YUMMY. If you think you may have trouble with them, or even if you don't I suggest taking Flinstones.

Wow, congrats on the good luck you're having on ebay! That's so cool. I'd like to be a SAHM one day as well. I'm hoping that once Chad has his engineering degree that we'll be able to do that. There's something about being married that made me think about really wanting to have children too, but we need to wait for financial reasons.

If you're having a hard time taking the supplement, you could look into foods that are naturally high in folic acid, iron, and calcium. These are the three main vitamins that pregnant women should be concerned with. A well balanced diet that focuses on extra amounts of these vitamins can be sufficient for some women.
