Ok, so for my favors I have decided to do two tulip bulbs with a cute little verse on a card with our names and date. I'm debating at this point whether or not it would be cost effective to buy everything in bulk and do it myself, or buy it through a company.

Anyways, I really like the way these boxes look ( I could do without the recycled symbol, but beggers can't be choosers!) :

And they are cheaper then a white box. I just think they will match the "garden" theme I am having. Does anyone know where to get these cheap? Ann's Bridal Bargains has the white boxes $14.00/50 which is great. I just think these go with bulbs more.

BTW Love that look, I am using brown recycled paper and raffia for all of my stationary :)

I got the natural raffia from that same website. I also am using raffia ribbon like the kind in your picture. I bought that from Michaels for a big spool for 4.99

I bought the following favour boxes from domeafavor (http://forums.onewed.com/showthread.php?t=12298) for my MIL's 50th anniversary party this summer. I was wondering what to fill them with ... I rather like this bulb idea!

I am doing very similar boxes for my favors (but we are putting handmade soap inside...) I am getting my boxes and filler from Nashville Wraps -

http://www.nashvillewraps.com/ShowSku.ww?Class=003&Type=116

It is about $12 for 100 boxes
I am doing the shredded wood filler - which will be about $25 I think.

I also got the spools of the raffia ribbon (the same stuff Danielle uses :))from Michaels, but they have it at that website too...

Good luck - it sounds like those will be great favors!

Thanks for all the great websites and ideas. It will be over $200 cheaper to do it myself!

Now my next question: which poem do you like better?

1. Please take these bulbs as you leave and when you plant them in your garden, remeber the love we shared this speical day!

2. May these bulbs grow in your garden just like the love will grow in our heart as we spend these years together.

3. As a living rememberance of the love we share, we give you these bulbs to plant with care.

4. Today I married my best friend. The one I live for, laugh with and love. May these bulbs grow in your garden just like the love will grow in our hearts as we spend these years together.

I think number four is my favorite, but I'm afrait it may be too long.

I like number four, but I agree that it is going to get kind of long... So I would vote for number 2. I really love your idea BTW!

Cute idea! I also like the natural look of the recycled boxes. I also vote for saying number 2.

As soon as we decide when this party is going to be, I will :) DH's Mom & Dad are having "health issues" and then there is the fun of trying to get everyone (relatives and friends) on board for the same date! At least the boxes are ordered LOL
