I was searching for some ideas for an end of year party for the kids at school who have done exemplary in their specials classes, and just happened upon this:

Maybe I've got a sick sense of humor, but I think it's hysterical. I've known of people making those for not just kids parties, but office parties, parties at their home, etc...

I have seen a cake like that before, they crack me up!

reminds me of the cake with the gummy worms (which I would prefer to eat over a kitty litter cake) ...

This is such a popular dessert around vet clinics and such. All the animal places I've worked someone has made it at least once. We animal people have sick senses of humor! I think it's a job requirement.:kitty:

I love them! FH and I just started our own pet sitting business (after doing it "unofficially for the last five years), and someone mentioned making one of these for us. :D

I have seen both the cat litter and dirt cake idea before. I think it is funny (not that I'd do it - actually it might be funny for my brothers) and I am sure mostly for kids; they seem to like gross stuff :p

LOL!!! I have never seen that before!!! We have made dirt cake before (with the worms) and our local grocery store does the pile cake. It look like a pile of poo, and there are flies and stuff on it!

My cousin-in-law made kitty litter cake for one of our family get togethers. I don't think I tried it but I do remember it being the talk of the meal!

That is funny. I love novelty cakes / cupcakes etc. I really hate cat boxes though so I'll admit I'd be a bit hesitant. But it's still hilarious!

Daaaang...

I helped a friend of mine make dirt cake once...but that's about my extent of experience with bizarre cakes. This one really does take the cake, however...ick!

My mother once told me about something she and her friends did in high school called "toilet bowl punch". It was a lemonade-based punch with candy bars floating in it. Ew.

One of my coworkers made that kitty litter cake and brought it to work. It looked SO REAL!!! Needless to say, not much got eaten LOL.

The ingredients sound tasty but after looking at it I'm not sure I could force myself to eat it:snide:. Though I am surprised that no one in my family has made one for me seeing as how my name's actually Kitty

I just showed Chad and he said that he didn't think that he could eat it! Needless to say, he's usually the pooper scooper! ;)

OMG! I finally forwarded the recipe to a couple of coworkers. We couldn't stop laughing. Completely made our day after having such a bad day at the office.
Although, I don't think I could ever eat it even if I was told it tasted good.

I think that is an excellent idea for a cake. I cracked up when I saw it. Of course, I am a cat person who has always joked about how it looks like tootsie rolls in the litter box... so I thought it was quite funny.
