We went on a cruise to Key West, Florida and Nassau, Bahamas.

Yep, I have worn it a few times since ;) *we didn't have a fancy, traditional wedding*

What was the worst gift you got?
I don't think we got anything bad; mostly cash and gift cards, and some candles and such.

W didn't have a cake.

Didn't really have a chance to be since we didn't plan a big wedding.

I sometimes wish we could have had a nice reception so I could have done the whole first dance and dance with my Daddy thing.

Not sure. Nothing too fancy, but different at the same time.

I'm surprising all of my family thus far - NO! I'm sure this time next year I will be though!

Not real sure of this one just yet obviously. The only thing I forsee being a problem is the possibility of there being another wedding at the hotel.

I can't wait to get the pictures and start scrapbooking and getting them in nice frames for the house.

What colors did you use?
Terra Cotta for the bridesmaids and it will mostly be goldish/silver with the flowers being a whole bunch of different colors. Like a garden.

Where did you tie the knot?
Will be at a beautiful old chapel in Wisconsin. About 35 minutes from our house.

I planned on not spending anymore then $500. But, now I'm seeing all of these designer dresses. I don't even want to know how much it will cost! I'm not going to spend anymore that $1,000.

I want the engagement to happen again...

Reverend Kruse...I wasn't too crazy about him. He screwed the ceremony up by doing things we hadn't wanted to do.

I didn't have my slip as high as I did during my fittings, so it ended up being a little long on the day of... instead of wearing my heels, I went barefoot so that I could feel the slip to make sure I didn't trip on it. I was barefoot all day, even outside in February for pictures! LOL

No, although I did get a little teary-eyed when some people kept commenting on how proud my mom would've been.

A donation to a local hospital in honor of our guests.

No garter toss, but one of my MOH caught the bouquet.

My other MOH's sister, who also happened to be one of my first grade teachers.

$399, plus $140 in alterations.

Yes, but not as much as I would have liked. We got a lot of complaints about our DJ.

The same as the ceremony.

Yes, with a few minor changes.

About a year and a half...

A Dodge Nitro we had rented for the weekend to pick up people from the airport and such.

We saw each other before the wedding, and that freaked some of our guests out. :) No traditional dances. Oh, and we also had our guests seated at their reception tables for the ceremony.

Nope, although I think my MIL thinks we did! She insisted on it, but we didn't have room for it in our freezer. We took it to work the next week and shared it with our coworkers.

What flavor was your wedding cake?
Actual wedding cake was white with Reese's PB filling. (Gross, btw). At-home-reception was a Chicago Rainbow Cone cake. So delicious. Not the most gorgeous cake, but sentimental for me and everyone LOVED it. Others have since stolen my idea (cousin, for example).

Were you a bridezilla?
I would have been, had we not semi-eloped (guest-less destination wedding. Chicago to St. John, USVI). Hence, the DW.

Whats one thing you would change about your wedding?
Not a single thing. Well, I wish we didn't send my MIL flowers for the day-of like we did, because she was ungrateful and witchy about it.

Without a doubt. I would not change a single thing.

Our wedding coordinator took us back to the villa in her Jeep (required to get up the hills in St. John!)

I think going away without any guests is pretty unique. Everyone knew we were going, some were furious, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Our AHR was casual and small, very family-oriented.

I saved whatever was left - we didn't have a multi-tier cake to save the "top" of

Yeah, my FG/RB drove power wheels down the aisle, we exchanged keys as part of our vows, we incorporated rock crawling into our ceremony/vows, my cake had miniature scales of our trucks on it and it was black rock pattern, reception was in a barn.. I can go on and on.

Did you save the top layer of your cake for your 1 year anniversary?
Yes, but we forgot to eat it! It's still in MIL's freezer!

Did you do anything different/untraditional in your wedding or reception? we exchanged sealed letters that we put into a box... the box also contained 2 coffee cups and was locked after the letters were entered. On our 25th anniversary, we will open it for the first time and read our letters to each other over a cup of coffee.
