We were in a car accident...

It just happened a couple of hours ago. Hubby and I were driving down the street to our apartment complex and a car came out of one of the exits from the complex and hit us. I saw him drive out of the exit without stopping first. Such an idiot. So, I called the police and was put on hold. The officer didn't come out for an hour. We were so pissed. The front of hubby's SUV was hit and there was transmission fluid leaking out. He's waiting for the tow truck as I type. The guy's parking light and some of the side of his car are smashed. I'm glad no one was hurt, and hopefully I won't have to go to the doctor to have my back checked out. It's been aching for a while now. :bbcry:

That's terrible!!! I'm glad you guys are okay! Is your back aching from the accident or from something else? I'd get in to the doctor sooner than later if it just started - if you wait and it gets worse - insurance might say you took too long to report it!

Oh no! I'm glad you guys are okay. I've been in two car accidents and trust me, if you have the slightest aches, go to the doctor. The littlest pain can turn into something so much more.

He is from out of town and said there was no stop sign, BUT he was supposed to stop for any traffic. We had the right of way and he didn't even bother to stop for us. My husband tried to stop, but it was too late. We could hardly understand the guy when he talked. He didn't have many teeth, heheh, looked like he was in his 40s. The cop was a total a**hole. He seemed so inconvenienced. I laughed when he called my husband from his intercom, to come to his car. When he called the other guy, he didn't hear him, so he called him again and said "Mitchell, come over here bud." LOL! The emergency and police system here are a joke, waiting an hour for the police to arrive, being placed on hold when I called 911...

My back feels a little better...I'm going to the doctor today to get it checked out. Oh, and I just found out my mom got fired from her job. She had only been working there for a month. I'm going to call her and cheer her up. What a crazy week!

I talked to my doctor over the phone and he called in a prescription for me. The paid medication has definitely helped; my back feels a lot better, yay! I'm off to make some pork chops, mashed potatoes and broccoli. :)
