So last night FH and I went out to eat at this little resturant in our neighborhood. It started out as a concession stand but the health dept told them if they intended to stay in business they needed to get a more permanant establishment. At first they just added a pavillion and put in bathroom facilities and running water. Now, about 5 years later they've got a nice little mom & pop type resturant, complete with walls, ceiling, a/c etc.
Its a nice little place to eat, they have good home cooking, its family owned and run and the service and food are both good. Okay so now that we've got the atmosphere established I can tell you what happened:grinhappy:
It was just Fh and I in our dinner party, so we set at one of the smaller tables for 3 people (most of there tables hold 4, 6 or more like I said its a family resturant) so there we are sitting at the table he on my left, me in the seat right next to him. There was only one waitress working last night with it being a weeknight and all they are usually the most busy on weekends,
so she's hurrying around serving the people who were there b4 us, trying to get a to-go order together for a lady that had been waiting on it. So she takes our drink order brings them to the table and leaves us menus to look over, a few minutes later she comes back takes our order then continues waiting on other customers. Well whatever we ordered I got a side salad with it and FH got some garlic bread so our waitress was in the process of bringing it to us whn she tripped! and bumped into our table .....now when I say tripped I dont mean stumbled and caught herself I mean, HER HANDS WERE FULL SHE TRIPPED AND FELL AGAINST OUR TABLE!lmao! Salad and bread went everywhere on the floor,the walls, and our drinks spilt and ran all into my lap! :rofl: I looked like I had pee'd my pants and then some!
She kept apologizing profusely and offered to pay for our meal, we told her not to worry aobut it. and helped (a little) to help her clean up the mess.
Bless her heart she was soooo embarassed! I felt bad for her, I mean I wasnt hurt, wet,kinda chilly but fine. (Thank God I'd set right next to FH or I'd have been wearing my salad too!lol)
Anyway, we stayed and finished our meal (thank God she'd only brought us drinks so far:winktongue:) payed for our meal and left her a $5 dollar tip for the best laugh in a while!
FH told her,"well if we'd had a camera we couldve won some money." lol. meaning that Funniest home videos show:)
