i'm getting married in september and i was so lucky to find my photographer and my videographer at the same place. another friend had told me about them and said that their prices were pretty good but i was only a really tight budget and i wasn't sure what to expect. when i saw their site i was blown away. their photographer sent me a link with an album design. after i saw it i had to book with them:bbmrgreen: . they are super nice guys, too. anyway, check out their site and the link my photographer sent me. they have some really awesome shots!

Thanks! (And to Lacey too!) I miss it sometimes. When I did the wedding as a coordinator for a friend of mine a few weeks ago I kept having to tell myself that I wasn't the photographer ;) She had an inexperienced friend of the family take the pictures ... I helped with some of the poses and such.

Hahah, Well as you know...Every Bride is Glowing on her wedding day. That one was actually looking at her New Husband and that was the glow she had radiating from her. I was just the lucky one with the camera and caught it.

NO WAY! There's no lighting tricks or anything in that picture! I mean, it's not just her face that is glowing, it looks like all of her is glowing! Maybe it's the fabric of the dress or something. It just looks so darn cool!

Hahah, I was just playing. I wanted her to appear to be glowing, because I thought she looked like an angel. And so I added a glowing effect to the photography. I have one in color and another one in Black and White. But it was an effect I added.

Well, for me I drew the glow using serveral tools. If your photographer is familar with photoshop, just show him the picture and he will know what to do to get that effect.

LOL :bblol: I was about to say ... HEY, that is a Photoshop trick!

The 'glowing' effect is pretty easy to do is Photoshop, it is a 'Filter' effect called "Diffuse Glow" It also looks to me like she may have desaturated the color a bit to give the bride a sort of pastel look. I love to play around with pics in Photoshop ... this one is nice :D (as are all of your photos 'KennedyPhotography') When I was a photographer people LOVED my Photoshop effects but didn't want to pay the extra cost for it ;)

Actually with this photo I didnt use the Diffused Glow, I actually had a layer where I desaturated the color around the bride, but I drew the glow around her freehand. I drew it because I didnt want it to be exactly even, I wanted more of an angel haze around her.
It is funny because I love to do the photoshop stuff, but I can only do it to images that inspire me for the touch. So I really do not allow my clients to pick what images they want done. What I do is normally take whatever images inspire me and do my added touch to those and then they get them. I have all my charges upfront so that there are no backend cost, which gives me the freedom to do what I feel that I need to and want to do.
If that makes any sense.

LOL, yeah that makes since ... There were quite a few times I did things like that and just gave them the pic because I just liked it some much ... It was bad when someone else saw it and wanted another but didn't want to pay for it ;)

One time I took a bride with bad skin and 'air brushed' all the pics in the album for her. But then when other people wanted to order more prints I had to charge a little more for the time. It took me hours to do all those pics and I should have charged the bride, but I felt bad for her. This is probably why I didn't make alot of money at wedding photography, because I gave away too much ;) OK, I will stop rambling now :)

I wouldn't mind playing with some (if you catch me when I am not too busy ;)) but only personal shots ... with the copyright thing I wouldn't want to alter a photo from a professional photographer. I know I wouldn't have wanted someone to do that with mine ;)

I like helping people, especially when they are nice to me and appreciative. The bride cried when I showed her the album and she saw what I did ... then of course, I cried a little too ;)

I am sure you will be fine and if not then there is always good makeup and 'airbrushing' ;)

Have you gone to a dermatologist? I've seen excellent results on friends. I don't get acne a lot, but when I do it seems that I get a big pimple right between my eyes or somewhere where it is very noticable! Hopefully that does not happen to me on my wedding!

I had bad skin growing up and I am very shocked I dont have scars from it. Nothing I ever tried worked, but when I started having kids, my complexion cleared up. Now the only time I ever have any problems is right before my period and even then it may be just 1 or 2. My mom says she thinks it had more to do with the fact that I went from wearing makeup 24/7 to hardly ever having time to put it on. Even now, I very seldom wear it. If I do wear it to work, as soon as I get home I wash it off.
One time I took a bride with bad skin and 'air brushed' all the pics in the album for her.
My sister has bad skin and she had some pics airbrushed one time and I dont know if they didnt do it right or what, but the pic did not not look anything like her. I didnt think you could screw up airbrushing.
