Ok ... for those of you who watched "The Bachelor - London calling".... did you see the proposal? I really did not like Shayne (the girl he chose) or Chelsea ... my favorite was the 3rd girl with brown hair who had the hiccup condition... (Can't remember her name).

I wonder if it will last??? What are your thoughts?

i dont watch it and i dont mean to be critical, but how could it? This is not the case with a "set up" or blind date, this is FORCING one guy to be compatible with one of 12 (?) girls, think of how many people you might have DATED or been on a date with before you met your husband. for some it will be 30 people (doesnt mean you sleep with all of them) or it might be 4 .. but you know, i just cant see how this is a person you really fall in love with, instead of FORCING it

I agree!!!! I thought that same thing! I mean, Matt - the London Bachelor was actually really cute, funny and he seemed very intelligent .. I just have a HARD time believing that he has such a hard time finding a girl that he has to go on a tv show in the US. But I still can't help it ... I am such a sucker for reality TV!

I only started watching it here and there about halfway through, just for the entertainment value. But I couldn't STAND Shayne... talk about a dimwitted idiot! Jeesh! She's the stereotypical dumb blonde bimbo. I thought Chelsea was great, and seemed very sincere and nice.

I DVR'd Monday's finale and hadn't watched it yet, but FH told me yesterday (as he'd heard from a co-worker) that he chose Shayne, so now I won't bother to watch the finale. lol

Sadly I dont watch enough TV to know when or what station most reality tv shows come on. FH likes to watch Big Brother, but I have a feeling its more b/c of the girls lounging in their undies than subject matter or show content:rolleyes: (even though I explained to him that girls that live in mixed company houses dont usually just lay around all but naked in real life, lol)
I agree though, it all seems kinda forced and the guys they select to be the batcholors are usually good looking, easygoing, intelligent(?) guys (I didnt say I never saw a show just not on a regular basis:grinhappy:)
So why do they have such a hard time finding a girl? And the only reason those particular women are choosen is b/c they figure with all those women, some confrontational, some with health issues, some with crazy personalities will make good ratings....IMO.

Ah, it's the same in real life. I can count at least a dozen really amazing, single, good looking, NICE guy friends that have a hard time meeting/finding nice, normal girls to date.

I wasn't crazy about Shayne, either. Amanda is who you are talking about Lauren, and I liked her too. I read a brief snippet about how supposedly this season was all a set-up by their agents, but who knows. It won't last, just how none of the others have lasted-hopefully Deanna does better. Trista made it work!
