Does your FH/DH (or do you?!) ever eat sort of odd things?

DH likes to eat plain peanut butter sandwiches, that is not so bad in itself even though I prefer jelly with mine ... but he like to eat Doritos with his :p

Other than linking some veggies I don't I can't really think of anything else right now ;)

Me; I like ranch dressing on pizza and lots of other stuff too :bblol:

My FH used eat weird things with pudding. He would dip bacon in chocolate pudding or he would mix croutons in vanilla pudding:bbconfused:. I don't know why he did this, he said it was good, Im just glad he doesn't do it anymore.

FH husband likes to have BBQ sauce on his mashed potatos - ugh - I like both just not together. He also puts blue cheese on his pizza - even if its just a plain cheese pizza, he has to have blue cheese on it.

For me, I used to put a little yellow mustard on my mac & cheese. I don't know why but it was good.

Probably the biggest thing for me is that I put ketchup on my tacos. My whole family does. I never realized it was unusual until I started doing it outside of the house and people laughed at me for it, lol.

Also, BLT pizza. You take a regular cheese pizza, top it with bacon, bake it, then smother it in mayonnaise, lettuce and tomatos. It's SOOOOOO good.

Ummm...I also put salt on my apples. :worm:

Actually, I have a homemade mac-n-cheese recipe that calls for mustard. I'd never heard of it before, but apparently someone else had the same idea you did, lol. It's my favourite mac-n-cheese recipe though!

One of my favorite pizzas at the local pizzaria used to be the cheeseburger pizza. It had mustard & ketchup (instead of tomato sauce), ground beef, onions, pickles, american cheese, and mozzarella. It was good! :D If I could get them to make it with some veggie ground beef stuff and soy cheese I would probably still love it! Haha

I put salt on my watermelon. My mom's side of the family all does it.

My Dad knows the owner of a local pizza parlor around here and him and his baseball team started making up pizzas. They did a cheeseburger pizza, but the one that really caught on was a chilidog pizza. I never did get a chance to try them, but apparently they were both really good.

I'm sure we're not the only ones who do this, but both my FH and I love cold leftovers for breakfast. He usually only does pizza...but I eat all of my lefotvers cold. Cold Chinese food, cold tacos, cold spaghetti. The only thing I don't eat cold is leftover soups.

I first saw this in Ontario. They give you ranch dipping sauce with pizza.

DH and I both like peanut butter and honey sandwiches. I will also eat peanut butter and banana or just plain peanut butter sandwiches from time to time. As a kid, I used to like peanut butter and fluff (spreadable marshmallow).

Everyone thinks Poutine is odd but if you try it, you will be eating it too (not great for the heart though) - french fries, cheese curd and gravy. Italian poutine = french fries, cheese curd and spaghetti sauce.

A lot of quebecers eat their french fries with mayonnaise ???? although I don't care for it.

A lot of people in Ontario eat their french fries (fresh from the chip truck!!!!) with malt vinegar - now this I like!

Just the sight of ketchup on eggs makes me queezy.

Balogna & ketchup sandwiches anyone? LOL It's just like having a cold hotdog sandwich.

I knew someone who would only eat cereal with chocolate milk.

My DH thinks I'm the strange one. :grinhappy: Its not a food combination, but I have to admit, I like eating SPAM. LOL In Hawaii, its almost a staple....
I can't think of anything strange my DH likes.

There's another thread about this somewhere... but one of the things I like but haven't had in years is sourdough bread with peanut butter, fresh sliced garlic, and bananas.

OMG I LOVE pB and honey sandwiches those are better than jelly!

Also, growing up we didn't drink milk - and soymilk was always too expensive, so we had juice in our cereal. For years! Soymilk was a delicacy, and I've never ever had real milk, so when I'm out of soymilk, it's juice in my cereal even still

FH eats bacon and ketchup. His whole family practically does. In fact, he has ketchup with almost every meat. Steak, bacon, burgers, chicken, ugh. We should invest in the Heinz company.

I don't really eat anything weird. The only thing I can think of when I was a youngster. I not sure if this counts as food, but I used to eat lotion. Yes, weird I know. I don't know why I did it or how I started. I don't do it anymore!

Funny, both my kids didn't like eating baby cereal with milk (although they would drink it by the gallon if it was in a bottle/sippy cup or glass) so I mixed it with pure fruit juice instead.

I just thought of something else. In high school, we ate "ranchup" on everything. We would mix a ton of ranch and ketchup together in one of those paper boats. We would put it between us and all use it for our fries that we ate almost every day. It would often find itself on burritos, chicken/steak fingers, pizza, etc.

ok let me tell you. I LOVE STRANGE FOOD!! this should bed good:

1. I love Ramen noodles and diced tomatoes out the can! You make the noodles like you always do, then mix some diced tomatoes in and OMG yummy!

2. I dip my french fries and chicken tarters in Tartar Sauce! all time fav

3. I actually hate ketchup. really really hate. EXCEPT for with dinner rolls, or bisquits. I can only eat dinner rolls and bisquits with ketchup.

I could go on and on but i should stop now!

I love what I call PBJPs--PB&J with dill pickle slices on it. Yum yum. Also I eat cheerios in orange juice instead of milk (but other cereals are in milk). Hmm.. sometimes I'll blend orange juice and black cherry pop over ice--tasty treat. I'm usually pretty tame with food though. French fries dipped in a chocolate shake is good, not that uncommon.

DH likes to eat plain peanut butter sandwiches, that is not so bad in itself even though I prefer jelly with mine ... but he like to eat Doritos with his :p

:bblol:

OMG! I love doritos with pb & J sandwiches! I think it goes back to us taking that as a lunch to the river with us bc the pb&j wouldnt spoil (like sandwiches w/meat or cheese) and doritos were jsut a favorite, so we got used to eating them together!.
My Dad and all us kids are big on PB & Oreos!
but I had a girl at work tell me I eat like an old person b/c I sometimes like to bring pineapple & cheese sandwiches for lunch, I didnt understand what that had to do with older people but hey, "to each his own"

I grew up eating ice cream with bread which I never thought was a biggie until my fh was like ewww... And I'm like well you eat ice cream sandwiches right and he's like not literally like that.

I like eating the eyeballs of fishes... really chewy but that's not a combo.

My all time favorite snack is Humpty Dumpy Bar-B-Q potato chips with cream cheese as a dip. So many think gross but it is really good.
I dip any fish I have in ketchup, I don't like larter sauce. If it is fish sandwhich I do ketchup only or if I get fish n' chips I use ketchup. I also put ketchup on my baked beans but never thought it was weird but I guess not many do it. I always put mault vinager on my french fries and on my spinich.
I love sugar on my peanut butter toast.

My son eats ketchup on every kind of meat.

My sister and her husband has the weirdest food combo I have every seen and most don't bother me as every one has their own taste but this is just weird. They put peanut butter on their hotdogs. Grilled hotdogs on a bun, they spread peanutbutter on it. Now that I will say GROSS to.

My FH eats bbq sauce and ketchup on just about everything. Ketchup on fish, with steak, with potatoes. Personally I like ranch dressing with my pizza, and a chocolate Wendy's frosty with french fries.

Stacy, I have heard of the apple cider vinegar on green beans thing; I saw it in a recipe once and wondered if it would be good, may have to try it ;)

As someone else mentioned; I used to like to dip french fries in a Wendy's Frosty :p

And pizza is good hot or cold; with ranch dressing of course :geek:

I put mayonnaise on soft taco shells before I put the other taco fillings in. People think it's really weird, but my aunt always did it and my mom picked it up from her and then I started doing it when I was a kid. Glad I'm not the only one putting stuff on tacos!!:D

Things I get odd looks for:

Macs & Cheese with canned tuna added in. Started doing this when we were really poor and had nothing else to eat and am now hooked!

Raman noodles with grated cheddar cheese in them.

Sliced Apple, Cheese & Mayo sandwiches. Family tradition, very yummy!

Cottage cheese in soup. Our family does it with almost any type of bean or veggie soup or stew. Last night I actually put cottage cheese on my stirfry too, yummy.

Oh! Another is a baked potato with cottage cheese, brewers yeast, and lemon pepper.

My dad and I don't dip most green veggies in ranch, we use mayo instead. Like broccoli, asparagus, brussel sprouts and such!

And instead of deviled egg sandwiches I mash up tofu with veganaise (non dairy mayo) and an animal free chicken flavored seasoning. It's better than the eggs to me.

Jon eats some odd things. The one that tops the list is his egg and cheese on toast with grape jelly. I used to pick on him, but now I like it too...the sweetness of the jelly helps with how rich the eggs and cheese are!

Oddest thing my dad and grandpa eat that I cannot stomach is the "Soysauce Egg". You put a big old fashioned shredded wheat biscuit in a bowl, sometimes with some hot water to soften it. Then you add a fried egg with a raw yolk that was fried in soy sauce onto it, and top it all with canned milk. Eyew eyew!

My other grandpa used to eat peanut butter, raisin and sandwich spread (miracle whip with relish mixed in) sandwiches. Also never got into that one.

Edit: Fries in ice ream or a Frosty in not weird to me! *chuckle* My mom got me started on it, she said back in her day they dipped them in vanilla ice cream at A&W to cool them down and eat them faster when they had to get back to school. Also, a lot of people do it with Frostys. Trust me...I worked at Wendy's for awhile earlier in college, haha.
