You know, those things we wear to keep the sun out of our eyes; what do you call them? :bbcool:
What style do you like to wear? :cool2:
Posts pics too

I have been known to call them both shades and sunglasses, but pretty much the latter.
I have been wearing pretty much this sort of style for the last several years -

Last week I got hold of a friends' and I think I like this style -

Which ones do you think look better on me?

I like the second pic. They look very modern and fresh...and I have a pair just like 'em.hehehe. :D
I usually call them sunglasses! I like the second pair better. I'm fond of the bigger style sunglasses! Mine are white w/ rhinestones all on the sides.

I call them sunglasses. I tend to like smaller ones (so I like the first pair better). Actually, I usually have to buy sunglasses from the kids' section because even small adult sunglasses look too big on my face.

I think the first pair makes you look more badass, the second is more girly. :grinhappy:

I say sunglasses. And rarely wear them. My last pair were blue tinted and my dad called me "John Lennon"
Call me crazy, but I'm not much of a fan of the great big sunglasses. They reminded me of the 80's and are just a bit too silly for me to take as a "fashion statement," hehe.

I say sunglasses. And rarely wear them. My last pair were blue tinted and my dad called me "John Lennon" You really should wear something to protect your eyes from UVB/UVA rays ;-)
I had a pair of the little round "John Lennon" sunglasses back in the day

No offence to anyone who likes and/or has this look themselves ... I guess I just think people should take into account the shape of their face; they look better on some people than others IMO ... but I like the ones of my friends' that I tried on for me :-)

I LOVE old style sunglasses, from the movie stars in the 1950's, such as Sofie Loren and Jackie O. I actually don't have a picture to post :( but if you look them up under google : Sofie Loren Sunglasses, you will see what I am talking about!

Don't wear sunglasses.. Unless i get the big clunky grandma kind to go over my glasses.. Hehe. My frames are plastic and small, so i don't think the clip ons will fit right.. ::Shrug::

I'm sneaky, I get UV Blocking protection from my contact lenses. I've had prescription sunglasses way back when.
Another reason I tend to avoid sunglasses is they make me dizzy. No joke. Maybe because the glass/plastic used in most cheap "fashion" glasses isn't exactly high quality and often distorts. Even a small distortion will throw me off enough to make me feel nauseous.

I call 'em sunglasses too.
Mine are kind of in the middle between big/little. They are big enough that I can wear them over my glasses (which I need to drive) but so so big that they are obnoxious. :)

I call them sunglasses too. I'm pretty bad about wearing them... I have a pair that looks like WebLady's first pic. I'd like to get some new higher quality ones, but I hate how expensive they are and they ALL look silly on me.

Uptown Girl, I have some similar to yours though not quite as big.
I never used to be a big sunglasses wearer, but since I've started wearing glasses the glare from the sun really bothers my eyes. so I have my regular glasses as well as prescription sunglasses.

What a fun thread!
I'm not gonna lie, I kind of like the big sunglasses. Not as big as the ones pictured in the previous post, but I think the medium-big ones are cute. I always get mine from Anchor Blue. Come to think of it, I need a pair, lol.
My sister (my MOH, the one I've posted about in other threads...yeah...) and me...

Bein in FL, and outdoors a lot, I LOOOOOVE Sunglasses.
Right now I've got two really nice pair...a pair of Fox's (as in the motorsports company) that are kinda wide and curved, with just a thin metallic frame along the top (no frame around the bottoms of the lenses). They're a bronze color, polarized, and somehow I've managed to have them for a year and a half without damaging them.
I've also got a pair of Smiths (another outdoor/extreme sports company) that are tortoise shell with black lenses and kinda wide on the sides. They're also polarized.
And I've also got a beautiful pair of tortoise shell Maui Jims, but I need to send them in for repair under warranty.
I used to never pay more than like $25 on cheapie glasses at Steinmart or whatever, but when you finally get GOOD, high quality glasses, it's impossible to go back. They make such a difference!!! (and they last a hundred times longer!)

I love everyones sunglasses on them :D
I really want to find a cool pair similar to the ones I tried on (2nd picture I posted) of my friends'. I would love to find some for $10 or so, I hate to spend alot of them, probably cause I am financially challenged :bblol:

I found mine at Target for around $10...I am another cheapskate! The one time I spent more than $25 on sunglasses I lost them within a week!

I've lost every pair of sunglasses I've had (or else I've sat on them and broke them, or my son's broken them, etc.), so I'd be sick to pay a bunch of money on them only to have them lost or broken. I'll stick with the $20 sunglasses.

Me too. I always end up sitting (or stepping) on mine. The longest I think I've ever had a pair of sunglasses last is like maybe a year. So I always buy the $5 or $6 pairs at Wal-mart, hehe.

Yeah, my Aunt always buys these $150 glasses, so one day she talked her husband into buying a pair. He lost them later that day, lol.

I don't have any pics of me in my new ones (that are already broke), but they're cute! :) Sunglasses is what I refer to them as.

I've been pretty bad about wearing them, too. But I'm trying to be better and to encourage my daughters to wear them consistently. My mom has macular degeneration and her eye doctor said there is some evidence that protecting the eyes from stong ultraviolet light by use of sunglasses could help delay the onset of the condition. That's incentive enough for me !!

And then one in my Fox's.

My Glasses are react-a-lights so they go dark when the sun shines. Which is a dead giveaway at work when i sneak outside for a crafty cigarette LOL.

FH wears various Sunglasses. There's a pair in every room of the House, Two pairs in His Van and One pair in My Car. But He mainly wears these Blue Ones.

I have a set that clip onto my glasses. I have since got a new pair of glasses and have not tried them to see if they fit these ones or not. I used to love sunglasses ( as I call them ) before I had to get glasses.
Brandi I love both pair of your. They both look great on you.
