Hi everyone! Is anyone else having an outdoor reception in the evening and you can't have open flames? What are you doing to make sure you have adequate lighting? Anyone using floralytes? What are some creative ideas for lighted centerpieces using roses and the color red? Thanks!

I'm not, but one of my friends did, and she bought those battery-operated "candles" that flicker like candlelight and stuck them in colored-glass votive holders... They were really cute! Maybe you can get red ones!

I love the look of scattered rose petals around a candle/light source... it's a lot cheaper than full-on floral arrangements, but they're very romantic!

I bought some icicle xmas lighting I am putting them on the front of the main table with tulle over it.

That sounds like a cute idea! I love icicle lights! And the tulle will make it look soft and romantic! :)

I love icicle lights too.....and I like the idea of the tulle. Quick question......would red tulle look tacky or "hooker-ish" for lack of a better word? Or what about another type of red sheer fabric?

not sure but I have red icicle lights with white tulle and I bought the white ones as well to see how they would look. I'm not sure about red tulle
