There are several pet peeves about my husband that drives me crazy!!
One major thing is he loves to throw his clothes all over the place. I have to pick up after him constantly!!
Oh don't get me started with football!!!

Haha, my big one with him is that he wets the toothbrush before he pastes it, then just lets it drip anywhere while he's putting the toothpaste on. Then afterwards he doesn't dry it off so when he puts his brush and paste on the shelf it kind of sits on top of mine, and mine gets all wet and nasty. Sunday morning I said to him that from now on he is to keep his brushing stuff one shelf below mine. He looked at me like I was crazy and said "Uh, I'm only here on weekends, and this is the last weekend I'm visiting until September." I said "Yep, I know, and in September you are putting your toothbrush one shelf below mine!" It just grosses me out to have my toothpaste tube all wet and drippy when I grab it.

He's obsessed with his computer! Even when we're busy doing something else (like working in the yards, having company over, etc.) he'll run off into the other room for a few minutes to see if this program has downloaded, or see if that dvd is finished burning, or to see if such and such is finished loading. It's SO FRUSTRATING!!!
Also, he's really lazy. He only has about 3 things I require him to do every week (easy things like taking out the trash), but getting him to do them is like pulling teeth. He has no problem sitting around on his computer while I'm working my butt off cleaning the house every Saturday morning, then I ask him to take the trash out and it's like 'why do I have to take the trash out? You put trash in there too.' GRRRRRR!!!!

He is obsessed at reading news, or reading about farming, or firearms... or anything like that.
Also, he is a grouch in the morning before coffee... especially if I have to have him take me to a test or something like that.
He passes out every time during my radio show... or when he doesn't, he comes into the room and start being a brat, cracking jokes, screwing up the lyrics and poking me... while I'm talking on the air.
He is "kitty" whipped.... by our cat, instead of me.
He absolutely refuses to learn russian or try russian food.

my husband is completely obsessed with football. NFL AND Arena Football!!! Which means I have only SIX WEEKS out of the whole year without football!!! I love watching it, but I am not obsessed as he is....I can't bother him when he's watching a good game..It drives me nuts!!!

Ugh, Arena Football drives me nuts too. I'm so thankful that my FH isn't big on football. I think I watch more football than he does, lol.

FH is obsessed with fishing. Ice fishing and regular lake fishing. He tries to talk to me about bait, tackle, boats, etc and I just don't care. So I make him call my dad because he turned him onto it.
The other thing, when he chews with his mouth open. He has come a long way, (pat on the back to me, hey, I'm totally taking credit!) but there is sometimes at home when he just forgets and it makes me soooo irritated!!
Oh yeah, he loves Batman to the point that he thinks he IS Batman. He is literally counting down the days until Dark Knight comes out. If he had it his way, he will probably go to the midnight showing in his mask and cape...ughh...haha!

Wrestling.. UGH. What a awful show (LOL). He doesn't appreciate my man on man narration, either.. and that stupid game.. Bleh. Only amusing if he plays my cracked out characters.
Talking about games.. I will watch him play games, its how we bond (dorky, i know) and spend time together.. a lot. He has to finish a ton of games >.< And instead he plays around trying to get EVERYTHING. I just want to omg see the end! LOL

My FH grinds his teeth in his sleep, and it's really loud lol. it's like nails on a chalkboard.
He also will have a convo w/ me in his sleep and never remember. We'll make plans then he'll be like "i never agreed to go out w/ ur friends" lol

Amen to that:) I'm like well I might have actually been interested in that...not to mention we just watched this same rerun of "pinks" or "OCC" yesterday....lol
My mom told me to read this book...."the proper care and feeding of husbands" by Dr. Laura Something, lol. It was pretty funny, mostly just telling you to take a step back, pick your battles, treat your husband the way you'd want to be treated, treat them like a man not another one of the kids, and to love him for who he is and not who you thought he should be once ya'll walked down the aisle.
A pretty decent read for anyone looking for insightful marriage & relationship books.
He makes a HUGE mess with the toothpaste and doesn't clean it up.
He always works on his truck till late at night (or on the computer) then gets depressed when I tell him I'm goin to sleep.
He leaves his clothes everywhere, specially his socks.
Most of the time I have to ask him 20 times to do something to get it done.
BUT: I think just about every woman can agree with me on all of these! That's a guy for you.... he's a typical guy.
And a comment to the first post in this thread about the football: Ask him to teach you about football. Maybe you and him can have "Date Night" on football nights so that you can watch them together rather than working against each other on em. This can lead to big ol'superbowl parties that you can enjoy!
(Sorry, that's the counsellor in me coming out heheee).

I don't mind watching football at all. But I am THE football widow!!! lol He loves NFL and then when NFL season is over, here comes Arena Football, and he has season tickets for that! Along with NFL he has Fantasy Football, so he's always checking on his team. Like I said earlier, we calculated and we have 6 weeks out of the whole year without football. He will change schedules so that he doesnt have to miss a football game. Again, I don't hate football, I like watching it, but I would love to have more time with him other than the six weeks of non football. lol

I don't have any major complaints about DH; maybe a few little ones ... he does leave his clothes on the floor sometimes and when I ask him about them he says "Oh, I was gonna were that again" :p
Sometimes when he is busy on the computer (sometimes just surfing) he won't pay attention to me ... but I guess I can do the same thing to him at times :worm:
He doesn't always clean the hair out of the drain when he takes a shower and I have to do it when I take a shower next.
I guess what bugs me the most is that he will push and poke me at night if I snore or make noises at night ... I feel like telling him "if it bothers you that much go sleep on the couch" :irked: Luckily this isn't all the time that this happens, or maybe I just don't remember it all the time. It does make me feel bad for him that I disturb his sleep, especially since he has to get up and work as hard as he does and I don't. But, I can't help it and I don't know when I am doing it ... this is usually when my allergies flair up. He makes noises and snores alot too, but I don't do anything but roll over myself.

FH is annoyingly into his truck. Don't get me wrong, I love the thing, but he's constantly doing this and that, buying new tires and putting a new exhaust system on it and tweeking stuff under the hood. Then come the questions: "does it sound good?" "don't you like these tires on it?" "do you think I should paint this?" "what if I do this...?" etc. When he got his taxes back, he went hog wild, therefore I did not get ANY attention for over a month, because he was busy playing with the truck :irked:

Hehe.. that sounds like my FH AND myself. We both have our own trucks, and when it comes time to workin on them, we usually take turns. His truck one month, my truck the next month

I had visions of a truck, but as gas (and diesel, FH has a diesel) went up, I decided for a Malibu instead. Even with 21 miles to the gallon, I still cringe every time FH fills up at about $4.50 a gallon in New York. Heck, I even cringe when I fill the my car up :urgh:
Oh yes, and FH also occasionally grinds his teeth. I've hated that sound ever since I had to share a room with my sister as a kid, and she did it every night.

FH is very shy. Like, painfully shy. When I went to meet his family for the first time, I had to do all of the talking. It made it really uncomfortable for me. It's like 'It's YOUR family! Why am I the one having to lead the conversation?' He won't call anyone because he's so shy (which has been really difficult when it comes to making wedding plans and getting addresses). Or he'll invite friends over and they all kind of sit around quietly until I come in and start up a conversation. It's like 'Use your words, Joe! You have friends over!' lol.

Well I'm not a fan of just farting whenever you feel like it...and Matt doesn't really care that I don't like it. He doesn't do it in public or anything, but when it is just us in the apartment.... man alive
the only other thing that I can think of off the top of my head is he doesn't close the top to the dish soup.

I haven't thought about doing that with Michael. He knows I hate it and he always tells me, "it just came out" yeah right.... now even my son is doing it and he thinks it funny.. men...they think farting is a right of passage for them....:snide:

I thought of a few more hehe...
ok if we're watching TV and a commercial comes on he always turns the channel and NEVER remembers to turn it back soooo i havent watched a whole TV show in who knows how long lol (Exception of sunday bridal night, i hide the remote!)
Also after he lets me borrow his computer he spends the next hour searching for something that i "messed up" lol. OK i'm a big girl i know how to use a computer. he's always like "why is there a new desktop icon" "why do i only have so and so gig's left" "why is nothing in this folder anymore""whys my computer so slow now"....lol i swear it isn't me!!!! i think he has a computer demon if he finds THAT much stuff wrong with it, all i do is sign on and search.
he also always has to blame stuff on me (it's likewise though lol) it isn't the 10 movies a day he downloads or the 50 racingjunk ads he saved or the 30 songs he downloaded......it's the 3 pics of wedding cakes i saved that made his computer mess up LOL.
and i agree w/ miss wbandme! if i was involved in a dutch oven...there would be kicking involved...we probably wouldnt be able to have kids after that lol
OH and i thought of another GEEZ! When were in a store, saaay walmart, he'll fart...then walk away and leave ME on the aisle w/ PEOPLE who probably think i did it lol. he gets it from his dad, his dad farts (LOUDLY) at family events the yell's EWWW SAMANTHA!!! lol......what am i marrying into???

He sleeps with 4 blankets- a microseude comf, a down comf and 2 of the soft, thick, heavy blankets. We have a queen size bed and there's not enough room for me, my 3 pillows, and my blanket, and then him, his 2 pillows and his 4 blankets... I get so mad when I wake up at night suffocated by blankets so I would push his blankets all of the bed and magically, they appear again on me in the morning. >.<

Are our FH related?! :bbeek: Fh dad does that too! He doesnt try to blame it on me but he just does it...should I take it as a compliment that he's considering me "one of the family" ?
As for the covers thing, FH will fart then fan the covers up and down so it can "escape" I'm like it doesnt need to escape! I need to breath fresh air!
But I also agree with the racing junk comment...he will be like a little kid having to go potty dancing around while I'm on the computer waiting his turn...and he's like why do you take so long?! I'm like well I use the computer for keeping up with all my sisters that live outta state, as well as friends who've moved away via myspace, and my OW acct!
Not just gettin online to "shop" for cars/trucks when you've got two "projects" in the works in the back yard as it is;) {not that I mind his projects but its the principle}
